This campsite is no longer in ACSI There is no privacy between pitches. Many of the campers are long-term residents. We did not feel comfortable leaving our Van and spoke to management about that. Good location for visiting Bordeaux by tram, and for the Airport but we would not recommend and tourers only stayed one night.
We have been here 6 times, because there is little else in Bordeaux! Good atmosphere, but pitches get worse!!! They must make money as it\'s so busy! Acsi please find us somewhere else!
Site unkempt and neglected. Broken wooden pitch fencing, unlevel pitches with deep muddy ruts, hook up overgrown with vegetation, pitches not defined at all. Only toilet with seat had been broken for ages and harmful if sat on. Staff member not friendly. For the only all year site at Bordeaux a big disappointment. Will never stay here again.
Looking at other reviews - muddy pitches was mentioned - However - these must have been modernised as the pitches were hard standing and good. Not a very \"personal\" place but had everything you need - excellent transport to the city and some cycle routes - due to low season - shared toilets
Great site, Our camping car had broken down and was bought to site be recovery truck, the site put us where we could unload vehicle without problems. once parts arrived we moved onto a Cabin for 5 nights.
well placed for public transport to city. Staff very friendly and helpful, above and beyond by the Manager,
Appalling pitches, just swamp & mud at this time of the year. Certainly not an all year site. Ended up staying hooked up on the site road. If we had tried to use one of the pitches we would not have sunk and not got back out. Staff in reception could not have cared less. Obviously a lot of upgrading to chalets but no sign of any pitch upgrading - obviously tourers are not important to them.
This is definitely a one night stop. Muddy, tight, waterlogged and tight pitches. If I could have found somewhere else I would not have stayed here. Really could not recommend for caravans or motor homes. On the positive side the bungalows are probably quite nice in the summer.
This is a village of chalets with a lesser number of touring pitches and the tourers are currently the poor relations. I must qualify that by adding that there is developmental work going on and the muddy, small, uneven touring pitches could be going to be improved - I hope so because it\'s needed. They are very small - longer vans will struggle, car parking is on muddy grass alongside the hard standing and there is much evidence of tyres sinking into the soft ground. The toilets and showers are adequate but only reasonably clean. I did not discover a formal dog walking area. A great location for an overnight between St Malo and Southern Spain, handy for the motorway and very close to a lot of Bordeaux\'s attraction but I was glad we were not there for longer than one night. Disappointing!
Spent one night in November
We were very pleased with camping ground
Good restraunt high end of market
Wi fi worked well
Staff helpful on reception
Good overnight stop
Friendly staff, reasonable pitches, facilities and price along with good transport into Bordeaux. The pitches turning to the left after reception have better facilities available than those reached by turning right. The only chemical toilet disposal point is situated near the left side pitches which is a bit of a trek from the right hand pitches.
Dishwashing, shower and hot water was not very hot.
The bins in the rubbish disposal area (again a reasonable trek from the right hand side pitches) were pretty full and didn’t seem to have much attention. Internet provision was poor but given the connection kept dropping I didn’t bother after an hour and asked for and received a refund on my bill.
