Travelling party: Couple

We arrived hoping to stay 4 or 5 nights and chose this site as there are so few in the area. However although Lacanau Ocean and the beach are lovely, the site was far too big and crowded for us. We thought September may be quieter but it was packed with lots of mainly german families. The main business is small family lodges, and so Motorhome pitches are cramped and hard to access through a maze of small roads and pathways to the back of the huge site. The turning corners are tight and we caught the rear tail lamp of our motorhome on a tree. The motorhome service point is also awkward to get in and out of and we are under 7 metres long. Adult only pool is good, and access to the lovely beach is great, but unfortunately not enough positives to make us want to stay.

Travelling party: Group of friends

If you use a wheelchair, like me, this is not the site for you! It is hilly and from the quite small, non level, oddly shaped pitches you will find it very difficult to access the only shop and impossible without assistance to use the toilet and shower facilities. The path to the beach is very narrow and not for wheelchair users. This meant the site beach was \'out of bounds\' to me as was the majority of the site It is always crammed with as many people they can legally accommodate. This means everything is overcrowded with queues everywhere, especially at reception, yet the staff see no reason to cease their chatter and deal with their fee paying clients. As our friends have teenagers we decided to return to this site to \'give it another chance to impress\' It did not and we will NOT be returning, EVER!

Travelling party: Seniors

We stayed at this camp site for the first time in June 2014. Everything about the site was very good with one exception. Most of the emplacements are very stony and not suitable for tents especially with sewn-in ground sheets which can be damaged by the sharp stones even with the use of an additional ground sheet. Pine pitch falling on your tent may also be a problem. But don\'t let this put you off staying at this site as it is really very good. Just come prepared for the stones and the pine pitch.

Travelling party: Couple

We arrived here just this week intending to stay for 10 days but left after two.
It just wasn't for us upon arrival its a nightmare for motorhomes to park and check-in.The pitches are very small and untidy. The only positive: the showers were hot and the toilet block clean. Its not suitable for motorhomes and like it says if you are a surfer or a teenager it's paradise but not middle aged couples.

Travelling party: Couple

We chose this site because it was close to the sea and were were not disappointed. A friendly site with good facilities. The toilets and showers were always clean whatever time of day. If you need TV be careful where your pitch is located. We recommend this site particularly if you like the surf!

Travelling party: Family with children, various ages

Bit dissapointed really. Started off badly as we waited at reception whilst checking in (1 member of staff) whilst they correctly dealt with the 6 customers in front. Awaited a further 20 minutess for staff to show us to our pitch, despite a reminder they never did show and we found it oursleves only to be thwarted by a automatic barrier that required a pin code!

Toilets were over busy and consequently dirty. Had to wait for showers (push button with a new record of 7 seconds) and lots of screaming kids. What did I expect during summer hols (but why should you?). Bar very expensive (as was the town) with pump beer at a high price for ust 25 centilitres. Awkward getting caravan out of site as the roads are too small for turning. Cramped pitch. However this site is close to a great beach that changed during the tide and gave us some wonderful memories. We wouldn't return to this site.

Travelling party: Family with children, various ages

Have just come back from two wonderful weeks. Stayed last year and managed to get the same pitch again. The facilities were excellent although the clientelle this year seemed less concerned with the state they left the sanitary facilities in with sinks blocked with food and not much wiping down of surfaces around basins and some graffiti appeared on the public bbqs midweek. The campsite itself is lovely and very relaxing with everyone seeming to respect everyone else. The walk to the beach is pleasant and the beach is pretty near perfect. The swimming pools are lovely although unless you wear budgie smugglers as a male you are told you cannot swim in shorts, best advice is to just ignore the attendant (who seems to only be there to enforce rules) like most of the German guys who were then just left alone to carry on swimming. The staff in the reception area and wonderful, especially Priscilla and Gaile. On whole would recommend this site to anyone, familes or couples. Lovely atmosphere
