I can accept smelly toilets, no toilet paper, not to mention soap, towel or even blow dryer. I accept old facilities if they are clean. I even accept waiting for shower and having no pool or anything in nature. I accept taking a flash light since not having any lights at all BUT I do not accept that price in low season for that! Big Supermarkt, great beach, silence at day and night. German at reception in a harsh tone though.
We arrived at this site expecting to get the ACSI rate to be told they don't offer this any more. We travelled in September, and the price for the pitch was still the same per night. No level pitches, gloomy sanitaires with no toilet seats or toilet paper. The meat expensive site I have ever stayed at out of season, and really not worth the money at all.
The staff was really friendly and fluent in German as it seems there were only Germans on this site.
The camp site is a bit hilly but most pitches seem fine and there are trees, so it is in the shades.
We came without booking and in the evening, so it was great we still got a place but it was really crowded so that most pitches didn't have much privacy. We ran out of gas, so it was very good that we could still get food in the little restaurant which was quite nice. Facilities were okay.
On our touring holiday of France & Spain this area was recommended by a young French family we met. After a long drive we were relieved and pleased to find this great site after the 2 other sites on the Cap were full. The staff found us a great quiet pitch nestled in the forest in the 'family' area of the site. We were a bit concerned when we arrived as the site looked like a music festival with loads of groups of young people but all the other campers were great! There's a great mini supermarket and bar/restraunt, we had a takeaway pizza one night which was fab. The toilets are fine, in keeping with the forest surroundings and there's agreat kids playground. The beach 10 mins stroll away is superb and one day we hired bikes for E38 for a family of 4 for the day, the Cap is great to explore on bikes. We especially like to thank the lady at the cycle hire station who was great telling us all about the Cap. This is great site, proper camping in lovely surroundings, thanks, first class!
