All aspects of this site are highly recommended. In particular the staff were a real joy, they spoke English and were both helpful and knowledgable with regard to the area and the current events and attractions.
The facilities were spotless and well maintained. Good long stop.
This is a very large new site. Only part of it was in use during our visit. The grass pitches are large and flat. EHU were plentiful. The motorhome service point appeared to be the source of water I didn\'t see any other water points but there may be others. The toilet/ showers andfaciities are excellent but in the part of the site which was open there were only three \" wetrooms\" although the children and disabled facilities were also availble. There were also separate toilets and washbasins. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a small shop and bread can be ordered. The site has a private secure gate access to a path up to the very picturesque village of Pujolls which overlooksthe site. ( it\'s a steep climb but well worth it). Villenueve Sur Lot is about 2 Km via a cycle path for most of its distance. There is a swimming pool adjacent which was not open during our visit. There is also a bus service and a small shopping area nearby. which we didn\'t use. A very good site with excellent facilites
We found this to be an excellent campsite for our 8 day stay this September. The reception was very welcoming and flexible allowing us to select a pitch and pay before departure. Cycle tracks start at the campsite, Lidl/Intermarche etc are only a short drive/bike ride away. Pitches are very large and relatively level. Take a long power lead as connections are at the front of every other pitch.
This is a top quality site, with great views; the only thing which stops the surroundings being 5* is the lack of shade, as it is a fairly new site and the trees have some way to grow yet
Really enjoyed our stay here and were impressed with such friendly staff who spoke good English and made sure everything was ok. Thank you.
What a little gem - lovely green spacious site - lots of open spaces around the site. Anne-Marie and Alan and Lumina (the bueatiful dog) are wonderful hosts they cannot do enough for you. The new toilet block is fantastic individual cubicles with shower hand basin and toilets all together. The walk up to Pujols through the back of the site can get a little bit muddy and th last bit is steep but so worth it - we cycled into Villeneuve - good cycle paths all around. We will definitely be returning.
The staff at Camping Lot et Bastides, and their Pyrenean mountain dog cross, were extremely friendly and welcoming on arrival. We were preallocated a pitch but told we could change it if it wasn't suitable.
The clearly marked pitches were very large, grassy and flat, with trees for shade, including a couple of oak trees on ours. We also had young plum trees, but unfortunately the fallen fruit made a bit of a mess and seemed to attract ants. We had plenty of room to park the van, put out a tarp, tent and hammock and still have room to spare.
Next to the pitch we had both an electric hookup point and a water tap.
The site was flat, and obviously well maintained, but it was perhaps a little clinical and soulless.
The facilities were modern. At the time, there was only one sanitary block, although a second one was near completion and should be ready for the 2018 season.
Inside the unisex sanitary block were 3 showers cubicles, 8 WC cubicles (with seats), 2 cubicles for the disabled, 4 washing cubicles and 2 dishwashing sinks. Outside, there was a further 3 shower cubicles. Paper was provided, but there was no soap.
There were several pools and an unheated jacuzzi, as well as sunbeds provided. A snack bar/restaurant served good food (and plenty of it) and drink at very reasonable prices.
Bread could be ordered for the following day from reception and collected from the snack bar, except on Saturdays when it is collected from Reception (as the snack bar is closed in the morning). The croissants and pain au raisin were particularly good.
Reception sold some essential groceries, and it was also possible to hire bicycles from here at €3,50 per day plus €150 deposit. Electric bikes could also be hired at an increased rate and deposit.
WiFi was available free of charge via a code given at reception. The signal from our pitch was extremely good.
The site was accessed via a barrier, for which a fob was required. The deposit for the fob was €20.
At night, the site was well lit by LED floodlights.
The medieval and beautiful village of Pujols can be seen from the campsite on its elevated pedestal, and the church bells can be heard occasionally throughout the day. It can be walked to via a shortcut from the campsite (a fob is required to open the gate on return). It is a steep uphill walk, but the reward is worth it. The return journey, downhill, is much easier! Reception can provide a map showing the walking route. On Sundays, there is a market in the village.
Villeneuve Sur Lot is also within easy walking distance, this time a flat walk, though it is also a quick and easy bicycle ride at only 2 or 3 kilometres away.
The campsite was nice, well maintained, reasonably priced, friendly and clean, and Pujols was a pretty village to look around. We can wholeheartedly recommend it as a stopover for a day or two.
Stayed here in April, weather mixed, area very interesting particularly the old town, went to a very large market nearby. Staff on the campsite could not have been more helpful when we had an electrical problem with our van. Good wifi which is free. I will definitely return.
This is an excellent site with modern new toilet block always clean and with plenty of hot water in the showers. Its a new site and the pitches are separated only by shrubs which have yet to mature, however the pitches are level and of a reasonable size and well laid out which gives the site a nice open airy feel. The staff are extremely helpful and the whole site is very well kept. Its great for cycling ,there's a dedicated cycle path all the way into Villeneuve-sur-Lot for example and you wouldn't want to miss seeing the village of Pujols even though it's a trek uphill.I would recommend this site and stay there again
A fairly new site, plenty of new plantings of trees and shrubs. Mostly unshaded at the moment but not a problem. Nice and peaceful. Clean toilets and facilities. Excellent help from the staff. Lovely walk walk to Pujols, supermarket not far away in Villeneuve. Small shop with basic supplies and lots of leaflets on the area in reception. Also small library of books but, if you borrow a book, please ensure you replace or return it so others can enjoy too.
