Camping La Chassagne lies on top of a hill near an old farmstead. From here you have a vast view of the landscape and of Château de Veauce. The camping site is located at some 40 km west of the town of Sussat (Auvergne). This is a rolling and hilly region at the edge of the Massif Central. Although the camping site is not specifically geared towards entertainment for children, they bake crêpes with them once a week.

'Spirit level' camping
On the large sloping lawn, 'chunks' have been dug out so as to create level pitches and your tent can therefore stand straight. This makes these sites well indicated. Another section has clear demarcations for the pitches. There is a lot of space between the pitches. This creates an open character with ample privacy on the entire site.
Farmstead with cottages
The camping site blends in with the surroundings of the farmstead and offers a splendid view. The farmstead has a hospitable character. You will be bid a homely welcome in the large kitchen. Near the farmstead are rental cottages (both old and new models).
Paddling pool
There is a small swimming pool (15 m2) which is actually a semi inground plastic tank. It is therefore more intended to cool off, or to play in, than for swimming.
Eating with the farm owner
You will not find a camping shop or restaurant here. However...you will not feel the lack of these. This is because you can join the meals prepared by the proprietress. Made on the spot, with products of her own vegetable garden and of the land. You eat in the cosy farm kitchen.
