Camping La Coccinelle is located on the edge of the idyllic village of Blot-l'Église in the beautiful natural Auvergne region. Here you can truly relax. People who like walking, cycling and angling will feel right at home. In Blot-l'Église itself, a 500 m walk, you will find several shops and a bakery. The camping site has a restaurant where you can enjoy a good meal.
Pearl in the Auvergne
La Coccinelle is a beautiful and quiet (family) camping site with 41 spacious pitches, either in the shade or in the sun. They are generally demarcated with lots of greenery. Much attention has been paid to the pitches. A few neatly-maintained gravel roads take you to the pitches. This pearl in the Auvergne has not yet been widely discovered, so that it is still very peaceful. There is room for ten motorhomes. There are also six rental mobile homes.
Play and sports fun
It does not come as a surprise that the camping site is popular with families with small children. After all, there is plenty to do! Children will enjoy themselves in the playgrounds, the sand pit, the slide and the trampoline. Teenagers -and adults too, of course- can indulge in a game of table tennis, tennis or jeu de boules. In addition, there is a sports field as well as a mini library.
Everyone in the water!
The attractive swimming pool of 60m2 (open from mid-June to mid- September) has an inviting appearance. It is tiled all around and is securely fenced off. It is a swimming pool where smaller children, obviously with armband, can enjoy themselves under the watchful eye of a parent.

Nice site in pleasant surroundings. Owners speak good English and are proud of their site, but showers are unisex and have very poor showers with the usual auto-shutoff plungers which have to held down all the time (no time delay). It looks as though the swimming pool has been filled in to make a tennis court. We were going to stay two nights, but moved on.
On arriving pleasantly pleased with well kept site, however nasty hail storm descended on us as we pitched our motor home. The owner called round as we were erecting our windbreaker (so our dogs can roam free within the pitch area) informing us as ground was wet he did not want dogs churning the grass up. Told him this would not happen, but he stated he would call round again in morning to insect his grass. Found him extremely rude, we were going to stay a few nights, but left as early as we could next morning. Would not be visiting this campsite again and certainly would not recommend to anyone with dogs.
A lovely little site made exceptional by the very friendly Dutch owners. The little bar offers very reasonably priced drinks. Will be trying to food tomorrow but judging by the food that some other guests had ordered,it looks good. We have just returned from a picturesque walk that was listed in a folder in reception (in English). Wouldn't hesitate in recommending this site and I'm sure we will return. Staying for three nights in a Motorhome.
We stayed for a week at the beginning of July. Weather was lovely and so was the site. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Pitches were large and quite private. Toilet and washing facilities were adequate, especially for the price. We used the swimming pool several times and enjoyed it. We will definitely return in the future.
Gem of a campsite - beautifully kept - lovely helpful Dutch owners. Shame some folks only use it as a night halt. There is plenty of walking in the area and Ria has a folder full of walks (in French & Dutch) with maps which are easy to follow. Local shop is like Aladdin's cave and run by a lovely old lady. Can't comment on pool as closed when we were there and did not eat.
If I had one moan it would be that the water in the showers could have been a tad warmer it being early April.
