Centrally located in the Auvergne, 250 m from the centre of the charming village of Orcet, lies the well maintained campsite Le Clos Auroy. On the campsite (2.5 ha) you will find attractive flower beds which give the campsite a charming appearance. You have a direct view of the swimming pool and slides, bar and terrace. Especially families with young children, often in transit, visit this campsite.

View of the mountains

You will find the spacious camping pitches (100 m2) on four flat elevations with a great deal of privacy being provided by the tall conifers on both sides. You can also opt for a sociable small field that is shared with other campers. On the terraced campsite with hard surface, most camping pitches are in the shade. You can hire an ecolodge tent without sanitary facilities. There are also a few rental mobile homes on the campsite.

Swimming paradise

The swimming paradise has a playful design with artificial rocks. You can swim in the heated pool (72 m2), glide down the water slides or enjoy the jacuzzi pool with rapid. The heated toddler pool with fountain is quite large.

You can order pizza, French fries and ice cream from the snack bar. There is also a small camping shop for basic groceries. The village has a supermarket. Each morning (in high season only) a baker with bread cart can be found at the gate.

Nature trail

The campsite is directly situated along a river with adjacent footpath. This allows you to explore the region starting from the grounds. On the campsite is a large playground, a trampoline, a sports field, jeu-de-boule pitch and a table tennis table.

Liked - Hele fijne camping met geweldig zwembad, veldjes boven vind ik mooiere plaatsen (waren met de tent). Brood halen in de ochtend en een wasje kunnen draaien is fijn. Kinderen hebben bijna alle ijsjes op

Prima camping, er wordt ook Nederlands gesproken bij de receptie; altijd makkelijk. De camping heeft mooie grote plaatsen. Helaas was er geen mogelijkheid om brood te bestellen, dit is alleen tijdens het seizoen mogelijk, ook was de snackbar dicht. Maar voor ons zeker een camping om nog eens terug te komen.

Gastvrije camping met vriendelijke Nederlandse eigenaar. Wij hadden niet gereserveerd maar werd goed meegedacht om met aantal verhuizingen ons steeds van mooi plekje te voorzien. Toiletgebouw schoon en met wc bril en toiletpapier. Zwembad is mooi, schoon en met 3 glijbanen! Brood kan besteld worden en in de ochtend afgehaald worden. Enige wat de kinderen miste was sport (voetbal) veldje. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar. Op camping verder lekker ijs en snacks (pizza) voorhanden en gezellige bar. In de omgeving enorm veel te doen en grote winkelcentra nabij. Voor een complete vakantie in de Auvergne een aanrader.

Vanaf de weg een ruime oprit naar de camping. Het ontvangst was hartelijk door de Nederlandse eigenaar. De oprijlaan naar de plaatsjes toe is mooi ruim. We kregen een plaatsje aangewezen die ons eigenlijk niet zo aanstond waarna we rap een andere plaats mochten uitzoeken. Die laatste was ruim en gekozen voor 10 amp. stroom. Waterkraantje tegenover ons plaatsje. Het sanitair voldoet aan de wensen en werd geregeld schoongemaakt. Wifi (betaald) was aanwezig en voldeed aan de verwachtingen.
Het zwembad was, toen wij daar in Augustus waren, mooi en rustig. Ik denk wel dat het bad een beetje te klein is als de camping vol staat. Er is geen restaurant op deze camping maar wel een snackbar met terras. Nu waren wij niet zo gecharmeerd van de frituur maar het terras kan, als er meer mensen zitten, erg gezellig zijn ook in deze coronatijd. Wij zijn op deze camping 3 dagen geweest en hebben ons daar uitstekend vermaakt. Clermont Ferrand is een mooie stad met een groot centrum, een bezoek zeker waard.

Liked - Leuke camping. Mooie grote plekken. Mooi zwembad.
Disliked - Geen toezicht bij het zwembad waardoor er kinderen zich niet aan de regels hielden . Bv tegen de glijbaan lopen waardoor mijn kinderen niet kunnen glijden.
