On the flanks of the Puy de Dôme, in Auvergne, you’ll find the Huttopia Royat campsite. This well kept campsite is ideal for the whole family. Children can swim in the heated swimming pool or play in the children's club while parents relax on the sheltered, green pitches.

Well-maintained campsite

The well-maintained campsite has 125 spacious pitches. There are trees and shrubs all over the terrain. These provide plenty of shade. The most beautiful pitches are at the front of the campsite, on the right. They are close to all amenities: swimming pool, sanitary facilities, reception and bar. On the outside of the campsite you'll find the rental accommodations. You have a choice of modern wooden chalets, mobile homes, gypsy caravans or lodge tents.

Child-friendly campsite

Especially in the summer months, many families with younger children come to this child-friendly campsite. It offers a lot of fun and play opportunities for children. The summer children's club and entertainment team have something fun in store for everyone. A short selection: workshop for making bows and arrows, tree climbing, treasure hunts and live concerts. In the low season it is nice and quiet. Which attracts especially seniors and those looking for peace and quiet.

Swimming pool in the sun

From the reception you can already see it: the swimming pool. The circular pool lies in the sun, in the middle of a sun deck. Here you can sit on a lounger while your children jump into the water. This pool is ideal for them: spacious, heated and not too deep. A separate area, shielded by a fence for extra safety, is very nice for the youngest water lovers.

Meget fin og velholdt plads i et smukt naturområde. Behageligt og serviceminded personale, som snakker engelsk uden problemer. Velorganiserede forslag til oplevelser af forskellig art i nærområdet.

Nous avons passé quelques jours dans ce camping en Mai 2021
Sanitaire très propre, le personnel est toujours présent pour vous expliquer les lieux à visiter.
Concernant les emplacements pour personnes à mobilité réduite sont superbes et spacieux.
Le camping est très bien entretenu, très très propre.
Le restaurant venait d'ouvrir avec la crise sanitaire de covid

Travelling party: Family with children <4 years

Moeilijk begaanbaar! 12% helling (caravans niet toegestaan op deze route) waar helling proef geen zin heeft want je zakt door de handrem heen. Met onze 2.8 diesel kwamen we voor de rest goed omhoog. Maar het is zeker niet aan te raden voor beginnende bestuurders of een gehuurde camper. Dit is de google maps route vanuit Clermont-Ferrand; er schijnen ook andere routes te zijn die beter begaanbaar zijn!

Travelling party: Family with children, 4 – 12 years

De camping was goed voor een verblijf van twee weken. Onze dochter had snel veel vriendinnetjes om mee te spelen. Veel Nederlanders op doorreis naar of van Spanje. Sanitair goed, nieuw en schoon, wel handig om je gebruik ervan een beetje af te stemmen op de drukte op de camping, want als je pech hebt sta je in de rij. Zwembad redelijk klein maar goed te doen. De omgeving heeft veel te bieden voor eenieder wat wils, van pretpark (prijzig) tot historisch centrum met erg veel locale producten. Leuk weekprogramma op de camping met muziek, themavoedsel en een paar kraampjes met locale producten.
De route naar de camping is iets om vooraf goed uit te zoeken omdat Google je over hellingen stuurt met +12%, er zijn bordjes met \'verboden voor caravans\' maar als je je daarvan niet bewust bent kijk je daar dus al snel overheen! Er zijn wel routes naar de campIng die beter begaanbaar zijn maar bergrijden is een aanslag voor de auto. ..

Deze camping, vlakbij Clermond-Ferrand, is voor elk wat wils. Mooi in de heuvel liggen de grote plaatsen, met en zonder schaduw, prachtig verstopt. Dus als wilt veel privacy. Uit-eten is in 10 min. met de auto goed bereikbaar in Royat of het grotere Clermond-Ferrand. een Prima Camping.

Improvements have been made since our last visit 10 years ago, notably the fantastic new toilet block, the best we\'ve ever found in France. Variety of pitches, mostly with shade.

Travelling party: Couple

We stayed here for a couple of nights as a stopover destination. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They provided useful advice about making the most of our short stay to get a flavour of the area.

The toilets/showers were very clean although we felt that more should have been open as had to wait for a shower.

We were able to order food from the local bakery each morning, but are unable to comment about the restaurant as this was not open.

Prachtige camping, vriendelijk personeel en uitstekende sanitair! We zijn slechts twee dagen op deze mooie camping geweest en zijn vastbesloten om nog een keer terug te komen. Ideale camping om de puy de Dôme en de stad Clermont-Ferrand te bezoeken.
