Camping Le Vallon aux Merlettes is situated less than a ten-minute walk from the attractive Breton town of Matignon. This is a very pleasant spot to stay in. Not only for the spaciously laid out and park-like terrain (even the pathways are of grass), but also because of the tranquillity and lovely atmosphere. A suitable location for nature lovers and young families. The facilities are basic, but effective. The reception houses a shop, a bar and an eatery.
The first impression you get of the terrain is that it is well maintained, but also that nature is allowed to take its course. Hence not only cut grass, but also high grass, bushes and many trees. There are spacious pitches (100-130 m2) available, some of which are slightly sloping. They are mostly demarcated with hedges or with nice wooden fences.
Beautiful rental bungalows
You can rent unique rental accommodation on Camping Le Vallon aux Merlettes. For instance, fully equipped tents and bungalows. The attractive looking bungalows are at quite a distance from each other (on the edge of the field) and as a result a bit further away from the swimming pool. You have more peach and privacy here, but it involves a slightly longer walk to the facilities.
Swimming fun throughout the year
The swimming pool is modestly sized (85 m2), but is covered with a semi-circular plexiglass roof. Obviously, the roof is open on hot days. When it rains or on chilly days, the roof closes and children can enjoy themselves in the pool. Outside is a tiled terrace with sun loungers.

This is a very nice, clean, relaxed campsite run by very friendly people. It is also situated in a perfect spot for day trips to dinard, dinan and St Malo and some stunning beaches. We will definitely return here in the years to come.
A superb typical French site close to superb North coast beaches.
Very friendly owner and no does and don’t notices.
Power cables a stretch on some pitches but are correct polarity.
Many pitches are sloping but have ramps to access them.
Toilet seats and paper provided and showers are modern and excellent.
Nice safe pool with cover, small shop and restaurant/bar with FREE WIFI !
Nice and Quit campsite, but with one big disappointment -> no warm showers, not in the morning, afternoon of evening...
We will not return because of that.
Deze fijne camping bezoeken we al voor de 5e keer.
Mooie rustige plekken, goed sanitair, zeer vriendelijke beheerders.
Beautiful camping with big space. Nice couple that leads te camping. Good atmosphere. Beautiful surrounding.
Beautiful small site with big sites and great covered pool. The young couple running it can't do enough for you. We go every year at least once
A really lovely, campsite with a natural feel to it, run by a really friendly, hospitable couple - nothing was too much trouble to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Ideally situated on the edge of the small town of Matignon with an excellent boulangerie, a selection of reasonably priced eating places and a good-sized SuperU supermarket within easy walking (10 - 15 mins) or cycling distance. It is also central to many of the attractions of the north Brittany coast, and within an hour of St. Malo and Mont St. Michel. Just after Easter the campsite was very quiet but the covered pool and other facilities were all open and we had our choice of the grass pitches. These are mostly sloping but a good size and not an issue with ramps to correct the slope - and this minor inconvenience is more than outweighed by the many positives of this site. We were sad to leave and will definitely return.
This is our second visit to this campsite during September, the staff are very helpful and the facilities are the cleanest we saw having been to 5 sites on our latest trip.
Very close to the lovely little town of Matignon with many nice walks and beaches in the area.
We will be back.
The couple running the site are very friendly and helpful, the site is good particularly for only a 3 star, it's well laid out and has a very relaxed feel and is very reasonably priced and we have stayed all over brittany on many sites over the years and this one proved particularly good value - the only issue we had was with the strong odours which came and went and i think were agricultural in origin and seemed to be predominantly down at the back end of the campsite - these are probably only at certain times of the year and we were probably unlucky in terms of the days we chose to stay there - overall i'd highly recommend this site
