Doesn’t deserve 4* nor suitable for handicapped people as the pitches so called panoramic are situated on the heights of the campsite the facilities such as bar, reception, washing machine, chemical toilet waste, pool, children’s area, are at the bottom via a steep stairway.
Staff not very polite and it was obvious that there was a lack of staff when we visited. The pitches with so called panoramic views don’ t have views from the pitch you must go on the road and if you have a camper van on the pitch in front of you it’s even worse. Very difficult to manoeuvre your car with a caravan or camper van as the pitches are not level and difficulty accessible and damage can be done if not particularly careful.Far too expensive you literally pay for the view which you have to walk to see..
As the campsite is full during the peak season they really don’t care about the customer complaints which seems a pity really.
We won’t go back.
We stayed at the end of September in the last week before it closed for winter. There was only a handful of campers, which was nice, and we were the only Brits. The terraced pitches are difficult to access with a caravan or motorhome, but others are available. Best views are from the terraced pitches on the upper level but this area is up steep long steps from the Reception and Pool area. Terraced area is also surrounded by lots of chalets. I wouldn't want to stay at this site in high season but would visit again in low season. Access to the pebbly beach (deserted at end of September) is good and the oyster beds and associated activity in the bay are fascinating. No restaurant service in low season and no local facilities. Plouezec is a nice small town about 3 miles away and we loved Paimpol which is about 7 miles away. It's a bit like Honfleur with a marina and lots of harbourside restaurants.
This is a lovely campsite with glorious views. We could not fault the staff who were all very happy to help. Toilet facilities were always very clean and very hot water was always available. Wifi access only costs one Euro a day. The site is very peaceful but the cost of that is you can't walk to a local bar or restaurant. This should be a site people come back to time after time
