If you want to go on a countryside holiday in the Burgundy region, then Camping Le Hameau des Champs is the right address. This campsite is perfect for those seeking peace and quiet and for cyclists. After all, here you are right in the middle of the 70-kilometre-long Voie Vert cycle route. The campsite is on the outskirts of the village of Cormatin and close to the medieval town of Cluny. Furthermore, this spot is also highly suitable as a stopover campsite for going southwards to France and Spain.

Dogs are welcome

The large site is in a quiet setting and the pitches are spacious and demarcated with low bushes. You can install your motorhome, caravan, tent or trailer tent on one of the 50 touring pitches. Or pick one of the ten holiday homes for four, five or six people.

Good to know, the toilet and washing facilities are neat but somewhat dated. These are scheduled to be renovated in the winter of 2023.

Swimming and savouring

A brand-new heated swimming pool with special toddler section opened in 2023. Café La Belle Epoque is right at the edge of the swimming pool. It's a lovely spot where you can enjoy things like cold drinks, wines, snack platters, breakfast and lunches. After taking a swim in the campsite's swimming pool and having eaten an ice cream on the patio, you can check out the activities around the swimming pool. There is a jeu de boules court, a table tennis table and a small playground, for example. There is also a multi-sports field, where you can take part in a game of football, basketball or hand ball.

Travelling party: Young couple

Liked - Man kann sowohl einfach auf dem Platz entspannen, als auch die Umgebung zu Fuß oder - besonders gut - mit dem Fahrrad erkunden - oder natürlich auch mit dem Auto die zahlreichen burgunder Sehenswürdigkeiten aufsuchen. Am Platz führt direkt der "voie vert" vorbei.

Liked - Das Häuschen ist recht geräumig. Wir hatten gute Schlafmöglichkeiten und ein großer Wohn-Esszimmer.
Und auch die Küche war perfekt ausgestattet.
Für draußen gab es einen Gartentisch und Gartenstühle.
Kurz: es hat uns an nichts gefehlt.
Disliked - Die Mülltrennung ist uns unklar geblieben.
Wohin gehört der Biomüll? Für den Biomüll sollte es einen extra Container und einen extra Behälter im Haus geben,

Liked - Wir hatten ein sehr schönes Chalet mit allem eingerichtet, was man braucht. Nichts war beengend. Schöne und gepflegte Außenanlage mit Pool. Sehr ruhig.

Liked - Wir wurden sehr nett begrüßt auf dem Platz und bei Fragen stand immer jemand zur Verfügung.
Disliked - Schwierig und umständlich finde ich die Nutzung des Induktionsherdes. Mir ist ein Gasherd lieber.

sehr schöner, ruhiger, netter Campingplatz mit Pool zum Abkühlen nach einer Radtour auf dem wunderschönen Radweg Le Voie Verde nach Buxy zum Wochenmarkt - 40,1 km hin und retour. Personal ist sehr nett und spricht Deutsch, Englisch, Spanisch, Italienisch, Französisch. wir wollten 2 Nächte bleiben und haben nun auf 3 Nächte verlängert. Sehr zu empfehlen. Seit Oktober 2022 neuer Eigentümer.
