We understand it was towards the end of the season but there is no excuse for the terrible state of the site.
We stopped here ovrernight in October. The showers and toilets were so filthy we used our own motor home facilities.
The reception was dirty, and outside there were tables laden with dirty glasses and plates. The pool was supposed to have only just closed but it was green and dirty and the whole area was unkempt.
If we hadn’t had a long day we’d have turned round and moved on.
This is a truly appalling campsite. The roads in the campsite are deeply rutted and the pitches just a mud bath. The toilets and showers can\'t have been cleaned in years and are in no fit state for animal use never mind human. There appeared to be migrants, African and Middle East staying on the site.
I wouln\'t recommend this site to anyone.
Shambolic site. Owner trying to do a few things at once whilst we were checking in. Freezer for ice creams in reception stuffed with bent baguettes/croissants adds to air of neglect. Grounds in need of some TLC but good sized pitches and owner takes your wishes into account and shows you pitches to suit. When walking around a few areas on site are like a dumping ground with a mattress and other bits lying around. Toilets good but shower cubicles are really grubby and look like they have not had a real clean for weeks. There is a lovely lake accross the road from the site and marked walks. Site swimming pool is good. Would not recommend this site, only stayed one night and then moved to another site - Pacquier Fane 35 minutes away which was lovely.
We chanced upon this site whilst making our way back to Calais and stayed for 3 nights. The site owner was very helpful with tips on where to visit, cycle paths etc. As its located on the edge of a lake there are also opportunities for walking too. There is so much to do in the area and is a good stop over to break the journey or for a short holiday. I think the current owner has only been there for a year but he is certainly building the site up.
Nothing to complain of whatsoever as concerns this lovely campsite. I only stayed one night, but the male owner was extremely pleasant and spoke excellent English too (I was surprised at how excellent).
The toilet & shower facilities do come across as slightly dated, but everything was very clean indeed, and the water was hot, so what more could I wish for. The swimming pool had been recently shut, but looked beautiful, and the site is very quiet at night & in the day. The site is surrounded by woods and directly next to a large (very pretty) lake. I would guess that it would be a very beautiful place to be in the Summer months. An excellent choice also for a stopover if travelling North or South as the Autoroute Du Soleil is nearby.
Used this site for an overnight stop and was very impressed. Staff are very friendly. Pitches are very well maintained. Snack bar very good. Would go again for a longer stay.
