Camping de Bourges is located just north of the centre of France, in the Centre-Val de Loire region. Here you'll camp on the edge of the historic centre of Bourges, with its impressive cathedral as a crowd puller. Because of its central location, this city campsite is ideal for a stopover and/or city visit.

Spacious pitches

The campsite has an oval shape and is surrounded by trees, so you don't feel like camping on the outskirts of town. In the middle of the oval are very spacious pitches with a hard surface, ideal for (larger) camper van for example. Delimited by hedges. In the second 'ring' there are slightly smaller pitches. These are on grass and have a little more shade from the trees.

Entertainment nearby

The campsite is quite simple. Apart from a playground, there is little to do for children. There is also no entertainment program offered. Pleasant and quiet place to spend the night for a stop-over. In the vicinity, however, you will find plenty of opportunities to have fun. Next to the campsite is the river Auron, where you can go fishing. At less than 2 km this river flows into the recreational lake Du Val d'Auron, where you can take to the water on a surfboard or rowboat.

Hot shower

The sanitary facilities are simple, but a hot shower and a clean toilet are available. You can have a small bite to eat on the campsite, but for dining out Bourges is a better option.

Ruime plaatsen op de camping, schoon sanitair, heerlijke warme douches. Vriendelijke personeel. Bourges is een leuke stad, ondanks het slechte weer dat we hadden. Bij mooi weer blijven we langer dan 2 dagen om de stad goed te bekijken.

Camping di transito, si riempie la sera e si svuota al mattino. Le piazzole sono adeguate, con presa di corrente e acqua. Servizi igienici puliti, lavandini per i piatti con rubinetto inadeguato, quindi molto scomodi. Molto vicino al centro città, ottimo per visitarla.

Really good site for a short stopover, we stayed on our way back home (Caen 5.5hrs with caravan) . We reserved a place as it fills up , even early October. Small site, but a good variety of pitch sizes. Electric and water close by.

Twee muf ruikende oude sanitaire gebouwen, wc’s waren ook niet echt fris. Personeel zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam met het wijzen op fiets en wandelroutes. Ruime verharde plaatsen. Een echte trekkerscamping overdag leeg tegen 17.00 uur vol, ook in september. Brood service aanwezig. Weinig last van straatlawaai en toch midden in de stad. Bourges zelf is,op de kathedraal na, niet interessant.

"Well cared for city-and overnight campsite. Campers have free access to the swimming pool. Marked pitches with hedges and partly with shade. 15 min walk from the city centre and the Lac d'Auron, where you can play tennis, surfing, horse riding and fishing. There is also an 18-hole golf course."
