Been here before and still an excellent standard. Toilet blocks good. All the staff are very helpful and very friendly.
the pitches here are less than generous. We were allocated one that would have had our awning touching the neighbouring caravan. Were told to find another, picked one from the site plan which the inexperienced girl on reception assured us would be OK. Pitched the caravan only to discover that there was no electricity at that end of the site. Had then to go and find yet another pitch (with trips back to reception to check availability). Not what you need at the end of a long journey. Yes the location is good but they have played down the noise you get from the trainline and whilst they seem to look after their regular customers as first time visitors we felt distinctly undervalued. We moved on as soon as we could.
Great site, friendly helpful staff, clean and well kept sanitares. Bar and restaurant excellent. Nice cycling nearby and chateaux to visit.
\"Welcome to the best campite in France\" was the greeting from the very pleasant lady in reception. Well, having not been on every campsite in France cannot confirm, but can say this is a very good campsite. All facilities clean, pitches good and a lovely pool. Food really good value for money and included fish and chips. No surprise therefore that so popular with the Brits. Great area for visiting the nearby Chateau (be warned if visiting no picnic food allowed so was a problem for us on foot). All in all a first class site.
We visited this site intending to stay just two nights on our way back to the port. We were very impressed and stayed much longer. Good large pitch. Site very well maintained. Owners and staff very friendly and helpful.Restaurant appeared very basic but the food was excellent and reasonably priced.
Our third visit to this site and would recommend it either as a stop over or for a longer holiday. Get a riverside pitch if you can to catch the evening sun. Great for dog walking up and down the river and fishing when the river's high. A walk down to the Chateaux at Chenenceau is a must,
We change our minds at the last minute to this site and I am so glad we did. Although it is near a busy road and the first impression looking at the site looked a little tired once we went through the gate to reception everything from then on was perfect. The couple that run the site could not have been more helpful. We had a lovely stay and would recommend this site as first class.
Fabulously located site for the Castle and the surrounding castles. Great for walking the dog and for going out on the bikes. Spent lovely evenings sat outside with hot air balloons souring over head and right next to the River.
The swimming pool was very cold when we were there so unfortunately we didn\\\'t use it.
Lovely site owners (English)
Excellent site with very good facilities. The English owners clearly know how to look after a campsite. Everything is clean, tidy and well maintained. The riverside aspect is lovely and it is within walking distance of Chenonceaux chateau, which is well worth a visit. We would definitely visit again.
Beware of the trees!!! This is a good site and we enjoyed our 3 nights there however.......we were on pitch 34 and beneath a tree that was shedding tiny flower heads (or similar). I don't know what kind of tree it was. Only when it rained on out last night did we see the damage this caused by staining the motor home roof and the run off staining the back and front of the vehicle. Even after climbing on the roof and giving it a good scrub with soapy water the stains are still there and it will probably require a full vehicle body valet on my return to the UK. I am sure the British site owner/manager must be fully aware of this kind of damage yet we weren't told. For that reason only I will not be returning and am seriously dissappointed. Management take note and ACSI put this in your write up about the site. Others may sue now you have been warned.
