In the middle of the Loire Valley forests you’ll find the campsite l'Orangerie de Beauregard. Camp here like royalty near the castle of Beauregard. The beautiful pitches are situated under tall trees or on grassy fields. Here you camp with the whole family in the middle of nature. Visit the local markets with regional products or enjoy a delicious meal in the restaurant. You can also take a dip in the heated swimming pool.

Royal camping

The camping pitches are on grassy fields between the trees. You can even reserve a spot in the middle of the forest. Delightful! Even in the countryside, you sometimes need a bit of comfort. Then book a comfort pitch. It has a barbecue and a picnic table. So you can enjoy a long dinner at your own caravan. Would you like some extra regal camping? Then stay in one of the cottages at the castle.

Play table tennis with your holiday friends

Your children will have the holiday of their lives at L'Orangerie de Beauregard. They can play with many other children under the age of twelve. Together with their new holiday friends, they can play table tennis, do crafts and much more. In the meantime, you take it easy: sip Vouvray, a sparkling white wine, during a wine tasting. A local and worldwide celebrity.

Markets at the campsite

Every week in the high season, fun markets are organised at the campsite. Here you can browse through the local products. Or sit on the terrace with a glass of wine and a steaming hot pizza. Would you like to visit a slightly bigger market? Then cycle or walk through the woods to Villedômer.

Liked - Having found this site in 2019 for an overnight stopover we were determined to return for a longer stay which we did this year spending 8 days here. We were not disappointed. The site has a lovely pool and the food in the restaurant is excellent. It was towards the end of the season when we visited in August so the opening times for the bar and take away seemed to change on a daily basis probably due to the availability of staff but a notice board was used to keep everyone informed.
Disliked - We had one of the large pitches (row D) which was great for space but because there are no hedges or similar to define the pitch area we found our pitch was used as a shortcut by other campers. Quite annoying when people walk through your dining room whilst you are eating.

Liked - The setting and peaceful ambience.
Disliked - Restaurant food could be better.
Especially the choice of deserts, meringue or torte.Every evening?
No condiments brought to the table and only paper sachets for salt and pepper.

Liked - The owners Tim and Jane were very knowledgeable about the area and what to do. They were extremely helpful when it came to booking activities and recommendations of where to go.
The campsite facilities were good and plenty of shower facilities.
The wine tasting is one to do when you are on site - Tim was very informative about the wine and had some good cheese recommendations.
The pool is lovely, very clean and well looked after with sufficient sunbeds around it, and nice to stop for a drink in L'Orangerie after a dip in the pool.

Disliked - The showers did not stay on long enough and some did not have enough hanging space without items getting wet.
Although this is nature and we would expect creatures we had a lot of problems with ants on our pitches. Make sure you have everything in sealed containers.

Liked - Cleanliness, how accommodating the management were in moving our pitch, the location and the facilities.
Disliked - Our initial pitch - right next to the basketball court. The checkin experience was done by a junior member of staff who wasn’t very communicative or welcoming - first impressions matter!
