At the edge of the Indre region, on the banks of the river of the same name, lies Camping Le Val Vert en Berry. This small-scale family campsite - which has the European Ecolabel and the Camping Quality label - is located in a green valley a few kilometres from the charming village of Le Châtre. The surroundings served as inspiration for the French writer George Sand in the eighteenth century. Come and visit us and you will soon see why she was so attached to this stitch.
Friendliness and plenty of space
This terraced campsite exudes luxury and looks very well cared for. The pitches are spacious and you can choose between a shady or a sunny pitch. There are also some log cabins for rent. The sanitary facilities on the campsite are well maintained.
Camping Le Val Vert en Berry is strongly linked to the region. This is also reflected in the campsite restaurant. Here, they mainly use local products and serve tasty side dishes. To enjoy the beautiful surroundings while eating, the campsite has a terrace where you can dine under parasols.
From bungee jumping to fishing
On the various lawns at the campsite you can kick a ball or play badminton. For the smaller children, there is a nice field with some playground equipment. But there are also plenty of activities in the vicinity of the campsite. Daredevils can go tree climbing, kayaking or bungee jumping. Or go fishing in one of the surrounding lakes. Back at the campsite, you can cool off in the lovely swimming pool.
