the staff at this site were first class nothing to much trouble everyone always smiling.we had to stay an extra 5 days due to car trouble and could not have been stranded at a better place.everything at the site we could have needed. we shall return hopefully the rain will stay away next time.
This evaluation has been obtained by our inspector from a questionnaire at the camp site.
Nice area but Yelloh Village lied about the free wi-fi, it was 30 min every 2.5 hr and the actual wi-fi for sale was hundreds more for six of us. Also, facilities have rules but no enforcement so safey and fairness were poor. Also, the limited sports facilities were taken up by planting campers on them when it got busy. Very little for teenagers.
An excellent site for visiting castles.Enjoyed cycle rides using campsite map.English speaking staff very helpful.
An excellent site for visiting this part of the Loire. Lots of wine tasting caves to visit. Very good facilities on site.
Nice camping in a nice place. Very good facilities especially for kids. New and very good toilets in the upper zone of the camping.
Cosmopolitan holidaymakers from across Europe which made for an enjoyable and kid friendly atmosphere.
Cottage we stayed in was clean, new and on the perimeter which afforded views of fields - and 3 deer passing through on 2 evenings. Pools were super - "bombing" the bridge from fast flume a great favourite for all and the under cover heated pool was adequate.
On food - we didn't eat on the site but it did look comparatively expensive, although everywhere in France seems a whole more expensive even with the reduction in euro Gbp exchange rate, so that's no surprise.
A good site and fun for the kids.
We stayed 2 nights, Friday being their first day of the season, everything open and available, including indoor pool and children's bouncy castles, kids club, restaurant. Very friendly and helpful staff, shop well stocked...totally recommend it to families with children and am hoping to return later in the year. Camper bourne/Empty point although not very many signs with regard to water points although there were taps with hoses. WiFI payable after an hours use on a very old computer at the bar which was a disappointment but good wifi spots throughout the site if you paid.
We stayed at this site for the last 2 weeks in August. Our party was 2 families. Our familiy included 2 children aged 11 and 6. The site and its facilities were good with shop on site and all our party enjoying the pool. Our holiday was ruined on the 3rd night by a break in. Our tent was slashed my bag pack was stolen out of the bedroom we were sleeping in. Also there was a slash in the childrens bedroom. We lost all our money, cards, camera, glasses. This happened to 6 tents and a caravan. After spending half a day at the police station we found out this had happened in June, July and now August of 2010. Although there is a security gate the site does not have a fence around so is easy to access from all areas. There is only one security guard from midnight to 6am who walks around the site. This is a very nice site with great facilities for the kids but the thought of someone in the room we were asleep in with knifes is terrifying.
I stayed in this site with my wife in June 2010, the site itself seems nice.
However, our holiday was ruined by when someone cut their way into our tent, whilst we were sleeping, and stole many of our belongings, including money and all of my wife's clothes, they also did the same to 2 other tents that night and also tried to break into our friends caravan the same night.
Our brand new tent was ruined in the process, the staff did allow us to stay in one of there chalets for a few days, but they also charged us too.
We initially liked the site, the staff seemed friendly, facilties were reasonably good.
However, security on the site is severly lacking, there are security gates, but the lack of an adequate perimeter fence makes the security gates useless.
This is also something the local Gendarmes mentioned they had spoken to this and other local camp sites about.
I would consider staying there again, but only if they install much needed security measures.
