Very convenient site to visit the town. Bus stop just outside the campsite, and buses regular. You can walk, about 2km, but if hot it’s easier to catch the bus. Owner really helpful. Swimming pool open but too cold to use.
I\\\'ll deal with the mud first. We arrived after two days of heavy rain but the only people who had problems seemed to be those who ignored guidance or didn\\\'t use common sense (eg used full lock on obviously slippy surfaces). Not really a problem though as the campsite have a little tractor.
The site\\\'s facilities are dated but clean. Pitches are level and quite large. Nice pool which we used every day but we never saw anyone else using it. Aldi next door.
Ten minute cycle ride to town. Troyes is very well provided for with cycle paths etc. A voie verte runs right through the centre and then out on canal towpaths. Excellent map from the (unhelpful) tourist office.
We stayed longer than we had planned.
A useful overnight stop near the A26 autoroute, much used as such by both British and Dutch campers. The grounds have a slightly neglected air, but the sanitary facilities were in good condition at the time of my visit. However, the restaurant was closed, so I can't comment on it.
Surprised by this green site so close to the centre. Pitch where you like seems the order of the day and the hedging and trees ensure some really good and private areas. Motorhome fill and dump point. Well kept site. Sanitary facilities about what you would expect and clean. Aldi right next door also bus stop so everything you need. Staff helpful and friendly. Troyes is definitely a place to see.
Friendly greeting. Pleasant environment with good tree shade available. Aldi is 5 mins walk (Intermarche 10mins drive + petrol stn). Troyes centre is a revelation and very picturesque within 20 mins walk. Good food options available and pretty cathedral. Toilet block clean but well-used.
A very unloved site with a real air of neglect. The grounds really need attention, it is difficult to find a sunny place to sit as the trees are so overgrown which also makes mosquitoes worse! We used the shower in our camper van rather than brave the showers here. I would recommend finding an alternative site unless you wish to visit Troyes which is a lovely town about a 25 minute walk away or bus runs nearby. Supermarket next to site.
We spent 2 nights here earlier this week. A potentially beautiful campsite but sadly let down by poor site maintenance and unclean toilets, showers and wash basin facilities. No evidence of cleaning during our 2 day stay. Very well situated for walking into Troyes city centre. Our score would be 5 out of 10.
We stayed here in our caravan for two nights on our way south in June, driving directly from Calais after a morning ferry. The reception staff were helpful and efficient. We were able to choose a pitch that suited us. Our pitch was grassy, flat, large and neatly separated from other pitches. We had a beer on site, again, very pleasant. Washing facilities and toilets were fine, all in good condition and kept clean. We spent a day in Troyes – a pleasant medieval centre with plenty to see and lots of restaurants and cafes. We took a bus from outside the campsite – very easy and convenient. All in all, we found this a good site at which to break our journey.
Site easy to find from A26 motorway, site well signposted. We arrived a couple of days after the site had opened to find it unkempt and a bit of a mess. Clearly no maintenance work had been done over the winter and when the manager was not in the reception office he was out on site with a rake clearing twigs and weeds. The small toilet block was open but was very dated and not particularly clean.
The pitches were of a good size with a few hardstanding.
All this is a pity as Troyes is a very pretty medieval city.
Ok for a night halt.
Nice pleasant site with shaded tree lined pitches. Good facilities and responsive WIFi. Typical municipal site, slightly run down but with all the facilities you'd want and with English speaking staff. Good children's playground. 500 meter walk to Troyes itself, with good selection of restaurants. It's also a good overnight stopover on way to Switzerland via Basel or Geneva.
