The Du Chateau campsite is located in the French Champagne-Ardennes region and is popular as a transit camp for many campers. This campsite is close to the toll road while still green and peaceful in nature. You camp within walking distance of the centre of the town of Montigny-le-Roi in the small municipality of Val-de-Meuse.

Perfect stopover

The campsite is only half a kilometre away from the motorway which makes it easily accessible. The campsite is on a hill, which means that the last part of the ride is quite steep. The campsite is in a park that is well-maintained. With a little luck, you will see squirrels running through the trees during a walk around the campsite. The campsite is primarily a popular stopover on the way to southern Europe.

Different pitches

When you arrive at the Du Chateau campsite, the manager will welcome you in a modern reception building. Spacious pitches with and without shade are available. The most beautiful pitches have a beautiful view of the surroundings. There are special pitches for disabled campers on the flat part of the campsite.

Essential amenities

The sanitary facilities at the campsite are shipshape. Disabled campers have been kept in mind here as well. There is also Wi-Fi in most places and the children can release their energy in the playground. Want to be active yourself? That is possible on the tennis court! At a small snack bar you can refill you energy stores. Do you want a more complete meal? Then drive or walk to the village. In the small centre of Montigny-le-Roi are, in addition to restaurants, some shops and a supermarket.

Travelling party: Seniors

A well equpped campsite with clean toilet facilities and quiet surroundings. It can be empty by mid morning and full at teatime as it is used as an overnight stopover. Pitches are good sized and level and it is a short stroll to the local, excellent boulangerie and other shops. Pool was not open at the beginning of June but the cafe was and we enjoyed a simple but tasty evening meal. Staff friendly and helpful. There is a one-way system around the site.

Mooi uitzicht. Mooi sanitaire.

Travelling party: Family with children, 4 – 12 years

Zeker aanrader

Travelling party: Family with children, various ages

Vriendelijk geholpen, sanitair is in orde. Verder geen gebruik gemaakt van de faciliteiten.

Travelling party: Seniors

An excellent stopover going north or south. Close to the autoroute but you hear nothing. Nice grass pitches. Small cafe on site is cash only but is good. We stopped a few days just to relax.

Travelling party: Seniors

Travelling party: Family with children, 4 – 12 years

Personeel is erg vriendelijk. Sanitair ziet er schoon en netjes uit.

Travelling party: Couple
