This modern campsite in Paris, in the Bois de Boulogne, makes you feel as if you're in the countryside, thanks to all the greenery. Even so, the metropolis is just a stone's throw away. Due to its central location, Indigo Paris campsite is easy to get to from the motorway, and is therefore also ideal as somewhere to stop on a longer journey. The friendly staff will be happy to help you find your pitch. The reception is open till 22:00, and in July and August till 23:00, so a late arrival is no problem at all.
Camping on the River Seine
You'll camp on a shady, spacious camping pitch that's separated from other pitches with greenery. Some campsites are even on the banks of the Seine. There's a motorhome service point at the campsite. As well as camping, it's also possible to stay in wooden caravans, cottages, and mobile homes.
In the summer, you can rent a bike at the campsite. You can be standing under the Eiffel Tower in the heart of Paris in 20 minutes, having enjoyed the beautiful Bois de Boulogne on your bike ride in. In the café/restaurant, and at the food truck on the terrace, you can eat pizza, salads, and meat from the barbecue. It's a lovely place to enjoy your day in Paris with a good glass of wine.
In the Bois de Boulogne, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy the greenery and natural scenery. For example, it's possible to take a boat trip on one of the lakes, and you can walk to a waterfall.

There is no WIFI. If you need Wifi, do not stay here. The WIFI did not work in the restaurant or the reception area as they advertised. If you are the kind of person who doesn\'t need wifi than this is a nice enough campground, although it is right on a major artery which means you will hear loud cars and sirens often. But if you need WIFI, this is definitely not the place for you.
- The pitch was disgusting with the cobbles, hard ground whereas we couldn\'t even put the pins of the tent in.
- The price is ridiculously expensive even if it\'s close to the city of Paris
- The showers, toilets, wash basins, disgustingly dirty, old and no maintenance for a very long time.
Will NOT recomend this camping site to anyone - avoid it!!!
We stayed at this campsite for three nights and had a very enjoyable stay. The facilities are great: reasonably priced shop, delicious pizzeria and the toilets and showers were not bad compared to a lot of campsites but not brilliant. There is a shuttle bus service from the campsite that takes you to a metro and from there you can get anywhere in Paris. There is also much to see in the area surrounding the campsite. During an evening walk, we discovered some fantastic caves and waterfall. The only big problem is the noise. We were right near the entrance and coaches seemed to go in and out of the campsite at all hours. Some would also park up and leave their engine running for an hour at a time so getting a good night's sleep was not always possible. However, as a young couple, this was not a big issue for us.
We were originally planning to stay for 3 nights but we hardly slept during the first night due to being around 3 metres from a very busy road, so we left in the morning. The staff on the site were good enough to return our money for the unused days, but on arrival I wouldn't say they were being friendly. Good points are that you are close to the Paris and it is easy to get to from the west by car but it is a good 30 minutes walk to the closest Metro. There was a useful shop on site too.
