Detail information about this campsite
"Quietly located, between the trees just 400 m from the train station and just 2 km from the Palace of Versailles. The perfect location for visiting Versailles and also excellent for visiting Paris. At reception you can get tickets on sale for various attractions."

Probably the best available site for visiting Paris, with the RER station only ten minutes\' walk away. Access to the site, through residential streets with a lot of parking, could be difficult for people with large caravans; I don\'t have a caravan myself, but on arrival I was stuck behind a huge outfit which took all of ten minutes to cover the last 200 metres. The site is hilly; many pitches are sloping, and some are on the small side. Sanitary blocks have the usual Huttopia quirkiness; in the one I used, the hot water pressure was very variable, making it difficult to keep the shower at a constant temperature. The restaurant (again in Huttopia style) is fairly basic, but adequate.
Site is excellent for catching train to Paris and Versailles. Good facilities but pitches very uneven, Nearly all are under trees and we didnt like the water and waste facility (only one) being sited together - not hygenic. Spent nights counting the acorns thumping on our roof! 79 ! Staff were excellent. Toilets too were excellent and modern.
Good campsite with a great location, 20 minutes by train to Paris City Centre.
Pitches are a bit hap hazard and not clearly marked so it\'s a bit of a chore to find a decent pitch with electricity.
Once settled everything else is great, nice pool and a Bar serving excellent Pizza\'s & home made French fries. Free Wifi also at the bar / reception area.
Toilets / Showers were excellent and in perfect working order during our stay.
Due to close proximity to the train station, there is a little bit of background noise from the trains, Day & Night - wasn\'t a problem for us but worth mentioning.
The reception sells tickets for the trains and the palace of Versailles.
Lots within walking distance. Shops 3 Mins, Train Station 5 Mins, Versailles Palace 35 mins.
As a regular traveller with ACSI we found this site one of the worst we had been to, the toilets in shower block three were blocked every day, they would not open the showers in this block, so we had to use the showers in block two which were cold, and when it rained the electricity went off and this in off season so goodness knows what it will be like in high season, also the pitches were far to close together as this site is in a wooded area if there was a fire this could prove very dangerous. who ever inspected this site for ACSI could not have done the inspection properly and needs to go back and do it again, the only redeeming factor is its position close to the palace of Versailles and a short train journey to Paris
will certainly not visit again or recommend this site to others.
Only good thing about this campsite is the location, very easy to get into Paris by train but that is it. The pitches are small, uneven and muddy. It rained when we were there and our pitch turned into a mud pit, clearly no money has been spent on landscaping or drainage. The electric went off 2 nights in a row, apparently this happens regularly in bad weather but the owners have failed to address the issue. The toilets were dirty and smelly, never seen them getting cleaned the whole time we were there. The restaurant was ok but under staffed so you had to wait an age for service. It is clear that the philosophy of this campsite is spend minimum money for maximum profit.
A great site just down the road from Versailles in great surroundings even though a qite high price for pitch and electricity.
Having stayed at a lot of campsites around Paris, this is definitely one of the best.
The staff are wonderful, speak good English, are there all day / evening.
5 to 10 minute walk to local supermarket / train station to central Paris / lots of other useful shops.
Train to Paris is about 15 minutes and cost about 10 Euro per person return.
Versailles Palace is a half hour walk, but only includes 2 roads.
Site is not flat but easy for legs / chocks.
Sanitation is excellent.
Well shaded, but pine trees drop cones in windy weather.
Very quiet site, although the advertised amenities (pool / child park / table tennis etc) were all not open at my visit.
This is an excellent site to go to, close to Versailles (30 minutes walk to the palace on the other side of town) or a train station (5 minutes walk and the next stop on the line). Good points: staff were friendly, pool was heated, the shower block was excellent, the location is ideal if you want to visit Paris (20 minutes on train) there is also a few shops and a very good Boulangerie a few minutes walk away.
Downsides: The pitch I was on was a little stony so difficult to peg the tent down.
We stayed here for 3 nights and had a nice time using it as a base to visit Versailles. Beware that Versailles is a full day visit and getting to the palace at midday isn't worthwhile regardless of what the staff had to say. We never used the pool as the temperature dropped dramatically, having said that a member of staff offered us the use of some blankets.
We stayed in one of Huttopia's canvas/timber tents. It was excellent - great value accommodating up to five people - wih everything you could need for an enjoyable stay. We could walk to Versailles. The staff were welcoming and offered great service. A fantstic place to stay! We loved the fact that we could order fresh croissants etc for delivery the next morning. Pool and bar/food an added bonus.
