On the shores of Leucate Lake, in the French department of Aude, lies the Camping Le Fun campsite. You will have a great time here, especially on the water. During your camping holiday, you can surf and use your SUP (stand-up paddleboard), sunbathe and swim. The latter can be done in the pool, but also in the Mediterranean Sea. From Le Fun campsite, the sea is only a fifteen-minute drive away. At the campsite itself, you will find mostly peace and quiet.

Camping under the olive trees

A paved road leads to the campsite's large pitches. You can choose one yourself. Select a nice pitch in the sun or in the shade. Ancient olive trees provide shady spots and demarcation. A delightful camping experience!

Endless fun for surfers and SUP'ers

Sports enthusiasts in particular will have an incredible time at Camping Fun. Leucate Lake is the place to be for surfers and SUP'ers. The strong coastal wind makes it extra fun for real water sports enthusiasts. This allows kite surfers to jump to impressive heights. Looking for calmer waters? Then dive into the campsite pool. This large pool is an amazing place for hours of swimming fun.

Eating mussels and more

The small bar with a small menu at the campsite may be enough to satisfy all your needs. But there are plenty of larger restaurants in the area to enjoy throughout your holiday. Especially at Port Leucate. This is where you'll find the best spots for mussels, the speciality of the region. But Perpignan or Narbonne are also great places to eat out. Why not combine your meal with a day trip to these beautiful historic cities?

Liked - We hadden goed weer, dat was ons geluk
Disliked - Zeer luidruchtig, trein langs de camping, feestavonden tot na 13 uur, lawaai van jongeren en vies sanitair.

Liked - Is niet aangegeven bij reservering dat het plekje toch te klein was voor onze caravan en er een spoorlijn direct langs liep.
Disliked - Dat ze €10 borg voor een slagboomkaartje, welke gewoon keurig is ingeleverd bij vertrek, gewoon hebben geïncasseerd.

Liked - Goed voor 1 tussen overnachting.
Disliked - Overal zijn opstaande randjes bij de douche en zwembad die zijn hoog en niet goed zichtbaar en je stoot er overal je tenen tot bloedens toe! Door de ruwe structuur.

Liked - Een heerlijk zwembad ,en een keurig toiletgebouw. De verlichting gaat wel 'avonds laat uit in de douche ruimte hebben we gemerkt
Disliked - Een kale campingplaats direct aan een spoorlijn. Nergens is dit gemeld of in recensies te lezen. De treinen rijden ook tot 's avonds laat en starten weer 5.30 uur. We waren gewaarschuwd voor een plek zonder schaduw maar over de spoorlijn is niet gesproken.!!!! Als overnachtingscamping prima maar voor een aantal dagen is er niet heel veel te doen. De recreatieplas waar je vanaf de camping naar toe loop is erg ondiep vol met modder en groene drab en stinkt

Liked - Zwembad, redelijk grote plek
Disliked - Toilethokken ruiken naar riool. Je kon niet in het meer zwemmen of surfen. Dat viel ons echt tegen.

Liked - Het sanitair was prima zwembad redelijk
Grote plaatsen. Een goede doorgangs camping
Disliked - Weinig te beleven in de omgeving. Geen fietspaden en in de folder staat dat he er goed kunt kite surfen e.d. maar daar us weinig van te zien. En te weinig waterplaatsen .uit verveling 3 dagen eerder weggegaan maar geen restitutie gekregen

Liked - Makkelijk te bereiken, niet te duur
Disliked - Bij aankomst een aangetekend plekje toegewezen wat eigenlijk niet verhuurd had mogen worden (tussen toilet, BBQ's, uitrijweg in en helemaal open), moeizaam om een alternatieve plek te regelen en na een extra nachtje vertrokken. Daarnaast: er rijdt frequent een luide trein langs de camping en dat geeft veel herrie!

Liked - De mobile home was nieuw en verder uitstekend. De mevrouw (eigenaresse geloof ik) was heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Los van de camping was de omgeving (meer het binnenland in) prachtig als ook het strand bij Leucate.
Disliked - Met de mobil home zaten we aan de rand van de camping met uitzicht op een braakliggend terrein met bouwmaterialen. Kortom, niet echt een mooie, gezellige plek. Camping zit ingesloten tussen een best drukke spoorlijn en een grote (auto)weg.
