An excellent site. we spent a week here in July and did not run out of things to do and see in the area. the office has a great guide to the area and things to do in the area.
The site has a great pool complex and the pitch had a great view over to the next town. Its a 15 min drive to Carcassonne/ Autoroute.
The restaurant has a good selection including the local dish, cassoulet.
We were not given a choice of pitch and the one allocated was not in a particularly pleasant location. While we accept some pitches were premium priced, we would have stayed longer if we could have chosen.
While visitors are expected to keep their dogs under control and on a lead, those owned by the site\'s staff are allowed to roam free. I suspect the dog fouling on the site was from these wandering dogs, not those of responsible visitors.
The swimming pool was not particularly clean.
We wanted some luxury on a chilly, windy day in May and decided to stay here. We were assured we could choose any pitch, so after setting up they decided that actually we had parked on a more expensive pitch and needed to move again. These problems were not helped by the long trudge to reception from the top of the hill and back up again. The shower blocks were cold and exposed in this weather with only luke warm water. I am sure it is a popular site with families in Summer, but we were not impressed. Vastly overpriced Wifi with poor reception.
This is a large site with mixed chalets and caravan pitches. We were offered a pitch with view and water/electrics/waste disposal at a reduced reate with our ACSI card. We had a lovely view and a large pitch. The pitch was too exposed for us to use our awning. Staff were helpful and spoke English.
On a very wet cold n windy may day,we arrived at this site using the coordinates as we could not find it via the address. It was a long slippy climb up to the reception, in our motorhome, this is a small area on the top of a steep climb, not much room, after checking in we followed the staff member in her little motorised golf type cart, up yet another very steep hill to the top of the pitches. Our site was quite small, completely surrounded by trees with not water or other facilities. The young women did not seem to understand that we needed water even though she could speak good english. The only view we had was of the large ampitheatre type swimming pool which was closed and was being repaired. When we connected the electric we discovered it was not working, I walked down the very steep hill in the rain back to reception, I was advised to go back and \\\"someone would come\\\" As I was walking up the hill a man in the golf cart passed me to attend to the electric. we wont return
We stayed here on the way to Spain for one night in our motorhome. Unfortunately no view from the pitch but stunning views from campsite. Pool complex was like being in a roman amphitheatre with amazing views. Lovely meal in campsite restaurant. Campsite in the mountains and remote.
Wonderful location, beautiful surroundings, book early to get a pitch with the best shade in high season. Helpful, friendly staff and a quiet family friendly site - highly recommended.
A stunning site amid mountains. Loved the amphitheatre effect at the swimming pools. We were joined here by other family members including a two year old, and we found the swimming pools were not well heated which was a shame as we would have liked to spend more time playing there. This is the reason I can only put \"good\" and not \"very good\" for the pools. The staff are excellent.
Enormous site which is being developed further. Very high so amazing views but can be rather chilly. Care needed when using a satnav to get there - we put in Montclar and spent a scary half hour driving round some hairy bends. Our pitch was not very good - as there were a lot free we should have insisted on another one rather than struggling to get our tiny caravan onto an even tinier terraced pitch with a big drop.
Heated toilet and shower facilities which were spotlessly clean and fantastic views all around. From the exterior the shower block looked like a Provencal villa.
The staff were very helpful and friendly.
We were not happy to be charged to pay money for each of our small dogs and it was low season too! This would make us think twice about returning, but otherwise we would most definitely pay a return visit.
The internet connection was hopeless so we ended up at Mc Donalds, where the wi-fi is free.
Carcassonne, not far away is well worth a visit.
