We chose this based on previous reviews which I don\'t think were justified. It is true, the owners are helpful and friendly but this doesn\'t make up for the shortcomings of the site. Toilet and washroom facilities are very dingy and dated with no toilet paper, toilet seats or hand drying provisions, and yet it claims to be a four star site. The showers were very cramped in that it wasn\'t unusual to have one\'s feet and ankles splashed by adjoining user whilst trying to dry. Also during our five days there, the shower water was only just warm and would on occasions run cold. Not what you want on a chilly morning! The swimming pool is small, albeit heated, with limited fixed parasols but in poor positions to give shade. If you want to leave before 9:30 make sure you pay the night before! There are cycle paths all around the area but these are converted footpaths shared with pedestrians, busy even in September, so no doubt during the height of the season they must be pretty crammed. I got the feeling the locals don\'t approve too much sharing with so many bikes striking their \"I\'m coming through\" bells as they stroll along in family groups. This is also the first campsite we\'ve come across where there was a charge for motor home service point. We stayed five nights and were charged an extra additional \"taxes\" despite not receiving a printed invoice to show how these were calculated.
As others have said there is a magnet drawing us back each year to this site. Didier and Marie Pierre. What great people,so helpful, caring and great fun.
Nothing is too much trouble.Great pool, super food and lovely atmosphere.
Toilets spotless and no shortage of good hot showers. So perfectly positioned for visiting the area on bicycle or on foot.
Can\'t wait for our next visit.
We have come to realise that buried beneath this campsite is a large & powerful magnet. For Inspite of our best efforts we are drawn back here several times a year. The owners are superb with a very helpful & friendly outlook. So much so that in 2013 we met up with four sets of neighbours to whom I had told about the site & they all returned this year too! None of which was planned. We will be back there again to sample the paella next year. But I am afraid that there may not be room for me if too many people discover the magnet!
Our second year after finding this gem last year. The owners are so friendly, helpful and hardworking. We have a large motorhome and have no issue with the size of the pitches. Bar and restaurant prices are very competitive. Although the amenities are well established they are kept clean and tidy. The site is beautifully positioned along the river Herault with cycle paths to Agde an historic town, Grau d\\\'Agde on the Mediterranean Sea in addition to Cap d\\\'Agde along the coast. Grau d\\\'Agde and Agde have abundant restaurants which are within walking distance along the river. A daily market complements the local shops which are varied and more than sufficient. The beach at Grau d\\\'Agde is clean with showers and a pretty promenade. Inexpensive water taxis provide access to the beach and restaurants across the river.
A superbly positioned camp site.across the road from the Herault river,a very short distance to the sea ,and to the Canal du Midi.
The owners are the most friendly helpful couple who treat everyone as their friends. They are always there to give assistance if needed, offer suggestions re visits ,and the paella evenings were great fun.
A camping to visit again and again.
A very well run site, clean and tidy in a lovely area with plenty to do. It always seems to be sunny here. The owners could not be more helpfull and friendly it is one of our favourite sites in France. The address entry in the ACSI guide is confusing however, as it is listed under Le Grau d Agde and should be listed under Agde with all the other Agde sites. This listing gives the other sites unfair advantage as it puts this site onto a completely different page in the guide.
The most helpful and friendly owners, we have ever met. Wonderfully positioned for cycling, walking and restaurants. Will be back for a third time.
Found this site by accident. Small pitches but well maintained nice heated pool. Friendly owners good food and welcoming attitude. Would visit again.
We toured for eight weeks around Europe and this was by far the worst campsite we stayed at!! The toilet and shower facilities were so dirty that we went scummy until they opened at 15:30 after being cleaned to have a shower, and then they were still dirty!!! The cleaner thought that a high pressure hose was all that was needed to clean the facilities, so you still had other peoples hair etcetera in your shower with you even though you were the first in there after it had been cleaned!! We have three children whom were 6, 5 and 3 months, and we were made very unwelcome by the owners as one of our children is mentally disabled and screamed on our first night. We were the only non-french people there and we were made to feel like outsiders at all times. The animation man was too female friendly and made us very uncomfortable poolside. As a family we can't think of any reason to revisit this region except for the Hotel Hexagon in Narbonne!!!
A small site located next to fish docks very well maintained and family friendly. Pitches are quite small but all flat and some shade nice friendly atmosphere we enjoyed our stayof four nights.
