Camping Les Berges du Canal is situated in the south of France, on one of the oldest canals in Europe. The canal connects Toulouse with the Mediterranean Sea and is still an important navigation route today. From the campsite, you can see plenty of boats passing by.

Cosy family campsite

The warm welcome at the reception desk makes you feel right at home on this cosy family campsite. The campsite is relatively small and quiet and has beautiful pitches, mostly in the shade of some trees. The pitches are sufficiently large. If you don't have your own camping equipment, you can stay in a mobile home or Coco tent. The sanitary facilities on the campsite are also excellent.

Specialities of the chef

Camping Les Berges du Canal provides entertainment for young and old. In high season there is an animation team for the children. There is always something to do on the sports field and in the playgrounds. You can keep fit in the outdoor fitness area or relax with a quiet game of pétanque. There is a small shop where you can get your daily groceries and some regional products. Good news: the campsite owner is also a chef. That's why the restaurant on the campsite has even received recognition from GaultMillau!

Pool or seaside

Here in the south of France, the sun shines brightly, so it's nice to be able to cool down once in a while. That's why there are two swimming pools in the centre of the campsite with a small sunbathing area all around. One of the pools has a shallow end, and there is a fun water mushroom for the kids.

Lovely little campsite on the canal. Received a warm welcome and were invited to choose our own pitch. Decided on gravel hard standing pitch which easily accommodated our 7.4mt Hymer. However, I would advise reserving or arriving early during high season. Special facilities for campers near the pitches. Sanitaires spacious and clean. Cannot comment on the pool as didn\'t use. Public transport within minutes to Béziers or Serignon Plage; not expensive at all! Supermarket within walking distance. Restaurant to sit in or take away. Really enjoyed our time here and would recommend because of the friendly staff and proximity to public transport.

We stayed here for about 5 nights . We did book ahead but late September we probably didnt need to. Everything shut at the end of September. But there was plenty of other bars and restaurants open. The site is well looked after and cared for. friendly and helpful. You can pick your own pitch. Plenty to go and see and cycle along and from the Canal du midi.

first thing to note...this is not beziers but villeneuve les beziers half an hour away. cheap bus goes to beziers from village. site located next to canal. excellent walking and cycling. lovely village. good facilities, pitches in sun or shade. bar and cafe on site, plenty more in village. would stay again.

The ACSI book says this is a quiet friendly site. There was loud karaoke music from the bar in the evening and noisy music from the pool in the morning. We had an insufficient electricity supply for our fridge. We tried to change to an different plug just to see if there was any improvement and our neighbour complained to the owner (!). The owner refused to speak English to us saying we should speak French (ok we are in France) saying there was nothing wrong with his electricity. Later I heard him speak perfect English to someone in the bar - friendly?

A great location next to the canal du midi, so good for walking and cycling. Villeneuve les beziers is a lovely town. The campsite has marked pitches some on gravel with little shade and some on grass/ground with lots of shade. When we were there, there had been a lot of rain so some pitches closed to dry out. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Warm welcome in reception and able to pick your own pitch. Nice site with lots of friendly people about. Small village adjacent but with a wonderful butcher, bread shop and a couple of bars. Local bus into Beziers is very easy.
Canal du Midi is a joy to watch - lock gates just outside the site. Will return.
