The site was good but did not warrant its 5 stars. there are insufficient water and waste points. The pitches were good but not superior with soil/grit surface

I´ve stayed tree nights on this campsite traveling with my family. The localisation is superb and the beaches around are very pleasant. If you want a pitch with sea views you have to reserve be advised and if you have a caravan with more than five meters please inform the reception or when arrived go see the place. The things I didn\'t like since I was with my children and payed with the discount acsi card in this campsite. The chlidren above 5 years old pay more than the set tariff a night. So please check the tariff that for me is too high. It´s sad because the camping is very nice situated and the surroundings are beautiful.

This was probably the best camp-site we have stayed at. It is extremely well located with access to both Colliure and Argeles by foot and very scenic walks along the coast. The facilities are excellent.

Superb pitch overlooking the sea. The mountain side of the site suffers from train noise. Sea side pitches can be affected by high winds so awning pitching needs consideration. Pool excellent and free. WiFi a bit slow but free. Tennis court at the bottom of the hill and a stroll away from the sea side pitches, however it was free. Toilets immaculately clean. Cleaning seems to be continuous from 0900 till 2200. Whole site immaculately clean. The only disappointment was the restaurant. Food distinctly average but staff very pleasant. Staff generally very helpful. Easy access. We would definitely return again.

So good we camped here twice. We did ask for sea view pitches at reception, and that made the difference. If we had pitches facing the mountains I think we would not have been so pleased, as the road and railway are a little close. Great having private access to the coves. Nice clifftop walks to other beaches. Easy access to Collioure/Port Vendre, two jewels on the coastline.

Very difficult to access pitches overlooking the sea with a 7m caravan, you really need a caravan mover. Chance of grounding over steep humps to these pitches. Pitches are narrow with little or no room for an awning. Pitches on the Mountain view side of the site are larger with easier access. Facilities are excellent and spotlessly clean. Free WIFI is available throughout the site but connection constantly breaks up, which is most irritating when emailing or using Skype. Swimming pool was really small for the size and star rating of the site. There are 2 extra taxes to pay on top of the 15 euro. Credit cards accepted. Reception staff very friendly and very helpful and arranged help to get us onto our pitch.

I relate to price... back in 2007 and 2008 the price justified it's shortcoming. Last year, 2010 and definitely this year the prices have dramatically risen, personally I don't think it's worth it. The campsite is nicely situated though, the nearby village of Collioure is very nice.
Another downside is the wind.

Travelling party: Family with children, 4 – 12 years

We had the misfortune to book a pitch at this campsite August 2009. We booked early and requested a large pitch for an odd shaped tent. Our first impression of the campsite was poor, the campsite fails to mention the TGV line which runs alongside. The campsite was very busy and the 2 small swimming pools a heaving mass of bodies. We were escorted to our pitch which was demarcated with small privet bushes providing no privacy at all.In the centre of the pitch was a large tree which made it impossible to pitch our large y shaped tent.It was hardly the large beautiful pitch we were promised. The alternative pitches were aweful, one looked like a building site with rubble strewn across, the other was at the back of the restaurant where I suspect the bins had been. The campsite refused to return our hefty deposit and quite frankly we didn't fancy staying so we cut our losses and left. So, in essence, beware if you choose this site.

Magically situated between vine-clad mountains and private, rocky coves - just south of smart Argelès sur Mer. Thought we had found paradise until the first night was disturbed by noisy train and people working in the vines with noisy machinery. Not a problem if in a caravan but bad for tenters, like us. Liable to flash floods if there are storms as site is terraced and lower pitches are vulnerable. Apart from that - beautiful and enchanting coastline with wonderful sunsets. Worth a visit.
