Very friendly staff and very helpful at reception. Pool area very clean, a well maintained site very clean. Trees and flowers exceptional.
We visited the campsite in September. It\'s a well-maintained site and staff are friendly and helpful. Quiet and peaceful with less than half the pitches occupied. Lots of shade which in warmest months would be very welcome but meant we never really got sunshine on our pitch. Toilets well-maintained and clean if a little out of date. Lovely garden and good swimming pool. Food was good but no vegetarian options. Nearby village has shop and bar but that\'s about it. Surrounding area very interesting and great for cycling.
What a little gem of a site lovely size shady pitches separated by hedges and shrubs so can be very private. The owners Annike and Sebastián are so friendly after a day we felt as if we\'d known them forever they honestly can\'t do enough for you. A lot of British return year after year and stay for a couple of months at a time so it was like a little community with everyone stopping and chatting as they pass your pitch. The swimming pool is one of the best we have been to and the bar and restaurant area very clean and the food is lovely above average for a campsite restaurant. We arrived in time for the paella night and what a fun way to meet fellow campers- annike also does afternoon tea twice a week with cakes to die for and not forgetting the hotly contested weekly boules competition. We may well become one of the British who return each year it would certainly be hard to resist.
Excellent site near Spanish border. Swimming pool is excellent and gardens of the campsite set out with magnificent plants. Pleasant bar area with very good food menu.Entertainment was varied to suit all tastes with some excellent groups playing.
Completely agree with the other English commentary. This is our third visit and although we do like to visit different places, we know the quality we are going to get here. One thing not mentioned (and is quite important for us) is the availability of 'serviced pitches' out of season. When you are permitted to chose your pitch, watch out for them, they are generally those on the outer boundary and they are available at no extra charge. In all an excellent site and I would recommend without hesitation.
We really liked this campsite. The owners are very friendly and efficient, on arrival we were given handouts of useful information and the option to change our pitch from the allocated one. The pitches are more or less level, a bit dusty and vary in size and shape. It looked as though all the pitches had some shade to a degree as the whole site is quite wooded.
The sanitaires were modern and very clean – in fact it seemed to me the cleaners lived in them, they were cleaning so often!! The two unisex blocks between them contain 11 showers, 7 toilets, 1 urinal, 6 private washbasins, 2 non private w/b, a baby bath, 2 washing machines, 1 tumble dryer and 4 washing up sinks. Despite the fact the campsite was full whilst we were there, I only had to queue for a toilet, but not for a shower. There is no soap in the toilets but plenty of toilet paper – no plugs in the washing up sinks – take your own universal plug.
There is a restaurant – food quite good – also provides take away pizzas & chips, a swimming pool 20m x 10m plus a smaller pool for young children with poolside bar, a small children’s playground, trampoline, volleyball net, area for playing boules and a charcoal bbq area. There is a lovely parkland area with a small lake containing fish – no fishing though. One facility not normally seen on a camping site is a car washing facility, so it was a pleasant surprise to find a dedicated car washing area complete with equipment. When we visited wifi was free and Le Haras was the only site we stayed at where we could actually use wifi in our caravan without having to walk to reception for a connection.
You could order bread at reception but we used the village boulangerie or nearby supermarkets – also in the village is an excellent fruit & veg shop (also sells eggs & boxes of wine), a charcuterie, a boucherie, tabac, spar shop, pizza takeaway and more. There is a very pleasant large lake (Plan d’eau) a small distance from the campsite which you can walk round.
A very pleasant site in a great location and very keenly priced. What’s not to like?
