This campsite is one of our favorites. We have been visiting it since the beginning of 2000, not every year, but frequently enough to having noticed all the renovations and novelties that have taken place. We love the beach and the the marvelous possibilities to use our bicycles.
In our opinion, even if you visit a camp site out of season, you\'d expect at least some level of cleanliness. The pool had been emptied but left with stagnant green water. This produced a huge amount of mosquitoes - we actually had to seek medical attention during our short stay.
A sanitary block appeared to have been abandoned near to our pitch. Aside from the breeding mosquitoes, it was infested with vermin - rats and a dead mouse in the sink.
As for the sanitary blocks that were in use, the toilets appeared to have been quickly wiped but the floors and walls were disgusting. The smell was unbearable.
On a brighter note, the bins were regularly emptied.
Verdict: With no facilities available out of season, and in it\'s current condition, in our opinion, this camp site was overpriced.
Good but slightly strangely laid out sanitary block. Only stayed one night but every time I used this block I wandered about not quite knowing which side to enter by. Torch needed to get to sanitary block at night.
The main problem was the turning from the main drive onto the road leading to the pitch. The turn was tight, the road was narrow and the bushes overgrown so I got the caravan stuck in a bush. I had to unhitch, drive the caravan through using the motor mover then re-hitch. The caravan is only just over 6 meter total length so larger outfits really will have a problem. I'm not the only one who had a problem because at least one German report complains about getting caught on the bushes.
