The four-star campsite Le Palais de la Mer in Saintes-Maries-de-La-Mer is located reasonably close to the town of Perpignan (18 km) and offers direct access to the beach of the French-Catalan coast of the Mediterranean. An unique feature is the superb park, belonging to the campsite, which can be accessed via a small bridge over a river. The park has been designed as a petting zoo with chickens, peacocks, goats, donkeys and more. There is also a small tourist train in the park.

The campsite

The pitches vary from 80 to 100 m2 in size and the sanitary buildings have recently been renovated. This gives them an extremely attractive and functional appearance. There are various sports possibilities on the grounds. To socialise (especially in the evenings) there is the l’Embuscade pub, where musical performances take place three times a week in high season.

Swimming pool/beach

Adjacent to the bar are two swimming pools, one of which is heated, so that you can also swim outside the summer months in a pleasant water temperature. The swimming pool has a waterfall, a childrens' pool and a jacuzzi. The swimming pool is flanked by a number of sun loungers and a solarium. This year (2018) the swimming pool will be scaled up with slides etc. The beautiful sandy beach along the Mediterranean can be accessed from the campsite.

Catering facilities/shop

The restaurant of the campsite is well-frequented and you will be able to watch the performances in the evenings. You can also buy take-away pizzas. In the camping shop you can get all basic necessities, but also beach and camping accessories. On the other hand, near the traffic circle in Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer you will find some more shops.

Liked - propreté, accueil, espace aquatique
Disliked - Juste une remarque sur l'animation, certe le protocole sanitaire a rendu compliqué ou impossible l'organisation de certaines activités, néanmoins j'ai trouvé les animateurs distants et il ne m'ont pas donné l'envie de participer. Un exemple: j'ai participé au footing et je trouve regrettable que l'animateur viennent avec ses écouteurs dans les oreilles....c'est pas ce qu'il y a de plus pratique pour communiquer et créer du lien avec les vacanciers

Liked - J'ai aimé l'emplacement, la propreté du logement et du camping. La situation en bord de plage est super.
Disliked - Je suis en colère sur l'aménagement de la piscine, effectivement, le sol est vraiement très glissant aux abords de la piscine. J'ai acheté des chaussons spéciaix réservés à la piscine à mes enfants pour les mettre en sécurité. le maître nageur à refuser que les enfants les portent. Alors je trouve cela inadmissible de placer les enfants sous la responsabilité des parents tout en empêchant les parents de prendre les mesures de sécurité nécessaires à la baignade. Mes enfants ne sont plus baignés dans la piscine trop glissant (carrelage)

Liked - Le logement rien a dire, piscine très bien
Disliked - Animation à revoir , très peu de spectacle par rapport aux années précédentes. Manque d’ entretien beaucoup de feuilles mortes qui nous ont obligé à balayer la terrasse deux fois par jour. Attente de deux heures pour un changement de bouteille de gaz. Problème de wifi malgré l’ achat d’ une carte à l’ accueil. Concernant la tv impossibilité de capter certaines chaînes.

Liked - Accès direct plage belle prestations piscine spa sauna petite ferme agréable.
Disliked - Restaurant moyen plat pas servi en meme temps Accueil : port du masque non respecte hotesse arrive pas de bonjour ainsi que les employes dans leur voiture electirique pas un sourire ni un petit bonjour certains roulent un peu vite attention aux enfants qui peuvent traverser.
A l exception un jeune employé souriant .
