We stayed for one night in August 2017 good size pitch, friendly staff, but definitely lack of cleanliness.Footpath around sanitary in potholes our son fell because of this.Toilets doesn\'t have seats no paper. Men\'s toilets doesn\'t have any privacy urinals doesn\'t have any doors.Quite noisy as train tracks near the campsite.Swimming pool good with slide. Showers not clean.
We stayed on this site first weekend of July 2016. Staff lovely and helpful. However we shall not be retuning because of the toilet facilities. Clean but no seats or paper! Come on guys we are in 2016 not 1916, lets have a bit of comfort. It was also the most expensive site during our 1200 mile trip. It is worth noting that you need an extra long lead as some pitches have a long stretch to the electricity point, we had to choose a different site to the allocated one, but have never had the problem on other sites.
Stayed here with my partner as a overnight stop travelling back to England. Reception staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. Provided us with a map for directions to our pitch. We made our way to the pitch and was pleasantly surprised. We had a pitch right on the lake onsite it was lovely spot. Pitches are separated by high bushes which makes it great for privacy. Shower/toilet facilities were fine shower could do with a little spruce up but it was only a few days before the end of season. The pool area looked very nice. This site is a great little gem. Locally there is loads to see and do and there is a big supermarket nearby. Would definitely recommend this site for stopover or longer.
In high season the female toilets were unfinished and half of them out of use. A small toilet block was filthy. Overall the toilet/washing facilities were quite inadequate for this size of campsite. Those which were working were of below standard cleanliness - a marked contrast to all other sites we have stayed in. I have no wish to return, despite its closeness to Verdun centre.
Nicely wooded site with hedged grassy pitches by a fishing pond. Outdoor swimming pool (not yet open). Restaurant open in the evenings.
A good price with the ACSI Card, including free WiFi, though it wasn\'t working. The staff were apologetic, waiting for \'Orange\' to come and fix the problem.
Well placed for visiting Verdun and the WWI battlefields and memorials.
The facilities let the site down. The shower block is in dire need of renovation and we didn\'t use it. The female toilets were closed. The male toilets had no seats, no paper, and lacked privacy.
Pleasant site with pitches by a lake. Easy walking distance to Verdun, and excellent tour bus of WW1 sites leaves regularly from the camp. Adequate but clean facilities, although the water wasn\'t very hot. WiFi is free, but service is a bit patchy.
Pleasant staff, nice location, but the toilet facilities are a let down and need a complete upgrade. I will avoid this camp site until it's improved.
We arrived here in early May for just a couple of nights. Sadly, as with much of our holiday to come, we experienced much rain and consequently the grass areas were muddy and the road-ways had several pools. But that - and getting stuck in the mud on departure - was not the fault of the camp ~ just one of circumstance. Otherwise, the pitch we were on, by the lovely lake, was great; the toilets & showers were very good, and the staff most friendly. The pool was closed while we were there, with repairs being carried out to the pool-side. (We would probably not have used it anyway.) An easy 10-15 minute walk into the centre of Verdun, past numerous very fine statues of eminent people linked to WW1 and through the town to the very smart Quai de Londres and the plaque of sympathy from the British Empire to the people of France. Highly recommended for a few days' stop-over.
This is basically a good site badly let down by the toilet facilities, which are desperately in need of renovation. There are no lavabos in the gents, so not possible to have a strip wash if you don't want a shower. There is no adjustment on the shower temperature and sometimes the water is dangerously hot.
The cleaners do an excellent job but one cannot ignore the fact that the facilities are very poor.
Pitches are generally of good quality but can be very muddy after rain. This is made worse by campervans churning ruts in the ground as their wheels spin when trying to manoeuvre. The pitches are then completely spoiled, especially for tent campers.
Overall, a site that has great potential but in need of the facilities being modernised. A great shame.
Very nice site in a very interesting area. The water in the pool was cold while we were there in August. The only problem with this site is that it is right next door to a gipsy encampment and 7 tents including ours were slashed to obtain car keys in the middle of the night. Cars were then robbed of cash, laptops, cameras etc.
None of the campers heard a thing as these people are very accomplished. As when speaking to the owner he shrugged his shoulders and said 'ii's the gypsies, it happens all the time'. Reported it to the police and they were of no help at all, wasted a whole day of our holiday. Such a shame they take that attitude as the site is ok apart from this, but the encampment appears to be a permanent fixture.
