Stayed here a few times now as convenient for Caen ferry. Good sized pitches for units up to 24ft - longer units may have a limited choice. Facilities are clean although actual toilets could do with replacement as looking tired. Usual mini-bar with snacks available on site. About 50% statics now. Can be a bit muddy after a downpour. Would stop again. Need to be careful on approach route - do not come via Surrain village itself as parts of road are narrow.
Probably the best site we have ever stayed at for welcome, cleanliness of loos and showers and site. They should be really proud of themselves. Quentin is a star!
The access roads from the main road was a little tight but roads are so quite it was not a problem. The welcome was very good with English spoken by reception. The pitch was large with utilities at hand. Toilets clean and showers hot and water plentiful. The bread ordered for the morning was some of the tastiest we experienced. Takeaway pizza and chips wonderful. The site is well placed for the D Day beaches. The pool was large and well kept. WiFi was good and available on the pitch.
This site is conveniently placed, not far off the N13 and easy to find. Reception was very friendly although no English spoken. The caravans mainly go on a flat area near reception but we chose not to go there due to the proximity of the children's play area. There is an area mainly used by motor homes opposite the toilet block, but access to some of those pitches looked a bit awkward. We chose a pitch amongst the chalets - very pleasant while the site was so quiet. There's a nice pool and other games facilities.
The reception sells a range of food etc and fresh bread can be ordered. The nearest supermarket is in Bayeux. The toilet / shower block was clean and perfectly adequate. The toilet cubicles are around the outside of the block and rather small. There are toilet seats and paper provided. The site is very well located for visiting the WW2 landing beaches and museums. The American museum is only 5 minutes away and is a must-see. Bayeux is a 15-20 minute drive away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, which we extended by a couple of days, because there was so much to see and do. We would certainly return to this site.
The site is perfectly positioned for the motorway but does not suffer with traffic noise. This was a lovely, peaceful site, well maintained. Pitches were not huge but big enough for van, awning and car. Showers and ablutions clean and plenty of hot water. Toilets were clean and had seats but a bit small! As the site was quiet we mostly had the pool to ourselves which was great, again well maintained and warm.
Small camping with very friendly owners. Good pitches in spotless grass. Next to the motorway but very quiet. Nice pool covered and heated.
Very friendly helpful owners. Nice on-site shop. Fresh bread and croissants could be ordered daily. Indoor heated pool. The pitch for camping vans was between holiday chalets and felt a bit cramped but it was still okay. Caravans had larger pitches. Do not follow the campsite coordinates when using a sat nav as it takes you down a very small farm track. The site is very convenient for Omaha beach and the American cemetary. Toilets were clean (normal French variety - no toilet seats but this is fairly standard on most camp sites) with toilet paper provided. Mens urinals by the washing up sinks - luckily no one used them - again some camp sites are like this. Wifi available on your pitch for a small charge. Came for one night and stayed for three. A good first introduction to a French camp site. Recommended.
