This lovely four star campsite is located in Normandy, near the town of La Hay-du-Puits. You'll camp here near Cherbourg, Granville and the Mont Saint Michel. The spacious camping pitches on L'Etang des Haizes have space for tents and caravans, but you can also rent mobile homes and fully furnished tents. The campsite has a focus on quality, whereby respect for the environment and the surrounding area is also important.

A great place to camp

You'll arrive on an open, very well maintained campsite where there is an eye for detail. The camping pitches are numbered and you pitch your stent, caravan or camper on a nicely maintained lawn. The pitches are spacious enough (90-100 m2) for a car, caravan and a few tents for the kids. And even then you'll have sufficient living space.

The heart of the campsite

Cantral on campsite L'Etang des Haizes there is a large swimming pool, which has water slides and plenty of space for playing children and lap swimmers. In addition to this swimming pool there is a large pond, where you can pedal. There is a bar with a lovely terrace next to the swimming pool. A nice drink after swimming? It's waiting for you!

In summer, activities such as archery, a ping-pong tournament or bingo and quiz nights are organised. If the weather doesn't play ball, there is a covered recreation space.

Shop and sanitary facilities

As everything on this campsite, the sanitary facilities are also first rate. The sanitary facilities are also heated, which is great when the weather is a bit colder. The camping shop has only the bare necessities, but there is a reasonable selection of shops in nearby La Hay-du-Puits.

Liked - Een gezellige camping met een mooi zwembad met glijbaan, waar de kinderen zich prima hebben vermaakt. Kids hebben ook vaak gevist bij de visvijver op de camping.
Disliked - Helaas geen mogelijkheid gehad om op de camping te kunnen eten i.v.m ziekte van een medewerker. Wel friet kunnen bestellen, maar dat was helaas niet lekker en nogal prijzig.

Liked - Goede plek met eigen sanitair, medewerkers zijn heel aardig en doen alles voor de gasten. Zwembad was leuk voor de kinderen met een grote glijbaan maar niet erg diep, max 1,2 meter.
Disliked - Ligging was minder, camping lag zo'n beetje in het dorp dus geen mogelijkheid om een wandeling te starten en alleen via de hoofdingang langs de drukke Franse wegen. Dat heeft dan wel het voordeel dat je dicht bij winkels zit.

Liked - De camping zelf is netjes en er loopt veel personeel rond om eventueel vragen aan te kunnen stellen. De animatie is niet heel vaak, maar wel erg leuk voor kleine kinderen.
Disliked - De glijbaan is maar beperkte tijd open, dat is jammer. Wij vonden zelf dat er in de omgeving niet erg veel te doen is. Veel uitjes zijn toch ongeveer een uur rijden.

Liked - het was een niet te grote camping met een hele ruime plaats. we konden daar met caravan, auto en twee bijzet tentjes staan en hadden dan nog veel ruimte over. ook lekker veel privacy
Disliked - Liever wc brillen in alle sanitair gebouwen. Dit was niet in het saniairgebouw waar wij het dicht bij stonden
