Nice, simple site, well maintained with huge pitches.Well worth a visit, short distance into the town, pretty medieval streets and a beautiful cathedral.
A real gem - a very reasonably priced and simple but fantastic little site a short walk from the city centre. The entrance barrier is closed until the office opens around 4pm, but there is plenty of room to park in front of the office and walk into town until they open. Pitches are among the largest we\'ve seen, but the EHU points are few and far between so be careful where you park or bring the long power lead!
Basic but clean small toilet block, free wifi in the vicinity of the office, nice children\'s playground and tented outdoor benches is the total list of facilities, but there are several restaurants and shops within yards of the entrance.
Be sure to take the 3km walk around Sees, ask for the free guide from the office - impressive Cathedral and medieval areas in a very pretty little town.
This evaluation has been obtained by our inspector from a questionnaire at the camp site.
We stayed as a stopover between the Vendee and Calais, and were delighted with the site. Very pleasant staff, lovely soft grass pitch which we had no problems getting our twin axle caravan onto. Nice little wooden play bits for children, but nothing too fancy. Well worth the 13 euros it cost and we took a bike ride into Sees and soaked up a bit of culture. The Carrefour directly opposite wwas ideal for filling up with fuel for the last leg of the journey. So great location, nice site, good facilities, great mulitlingual friendly helpful staff.
We stayed at this campsite for one night on our way to Calais. It has about 45 – 50 grass pitches of varying sizes delineated by hedges. We arrived on spec at about 3 pm to find a notice advising reception was shut until 4 pm, but to find a pitch and pay later. If only we could have done that – but there was a locked barrier preventing us from entering the campsite, so I feel they should remove the notice.
The toilet and shower block looks a little tired but is perfectly adequate (complete with toilet paper) and was clean. The only gripe I have is that there are no mops to clean the showers after use and the shower drainage was partially blocked which allowed the water to build up around your feet. This also meant your neighbour’s water flowed into your cubicle.
There is a Carrefour Market with fuel about 120 metres away and the town of Sées is about a 5 minute walk – the cathedral is worth a look.
We ate at Bar Le Baroque which was on the same side of the road as Carrefour on the way into town. It didn’t look much from the outside and the menu is quite simple, but the food was very good.
A simple, clean campsite. Although it is next to the main road going into town, this is quiet over night. Sees is well worth seeing with many small eating places and bars within easy walking distance. Just across the road is a well stocked supermarket with a petrol station, so no driving around looking for a place to fill up the tank.
We stopped for 2 nights to spend a day at Caen and Arromanches and would like to go back for at least a week to see more of the D Day museums and also the town of Seés. The campsite was excellent with flat pitches, clean (and roomy) toilets and showers, free hot water for dishes and hand laundry. The staff were very polite and happy to help with their English when my French failed me. The site is next to the old main road (the town is bypassed) so there was some traffic noise but not excessive in my view. A well stocked, medium sized, supermarket is across the road from the site and a good choice of restaurants and bars and the 13th century cathedral are within easy walking distance. We picked the site from the map because it's situation suited our travel plans but could not have done better and would certainly recommend it.

Small, pleasant campsite in the Orne region. Opened from 16/04 to 30/09. Ideal stopover site when driving to the south. Close to a picturesque town centre with shops and little eateries. Lovely, green and quiet surroundings. Friendly welcome and children's playground. Shady pitches under trees.
