We arrived the last week of May to find nobody at the desk tho the owner was nearby building something near the empty pool with other workmen. The site was empty which actually suited us as we had 2 dogs and didn\'t need to put them on leads as the owners dogs were running everywhere too. The pitches were large but not mowed at all but it was very peaceful and the river area lovely tho def no beach there. However, if you like a bar, a pool with water in it and a manned office don\'t go in May as nothing was open. Only 2 toilets and 2 showers were available as the blocks were all locked so when 5 French families arrived there were queues every morning. To top it all off on our last day the owner then mowed around us while we sat outside covering our van with dust and clippings and then charged us full rate when we left the next day despite the lack of advertised facilities! Will not be returning!
A nice location next to the Ariege river. Level pitches in groups divided by high hedges. There is a large sanitary building but it was closed during our visit, leaving just 1 shower, 1 toilet and a combined toilet/shower room.
Access to the site is through a large sliding gate and across a bridge. It was not immediately apparent how to gain access as the gate was closed.
There is a pleasant walk round the island on which the site is situated.
All-year site. Very well laid out, well looked-after, very secure. Pitches set out in groups of 8 in a spoked arrangement (is that clear? It was good and private anyway!). Site facilities not fully open - only a couple of loos - but the staff could not have been more helpful and pleasant. Area and campsite are great for walkers. Only 45 minutes to Carcassonne, less to Mirepoix, Foix. etc. Beware: a lot is closed out of season). Plenty of and interesting shopping in the area. Be careful with GPS instructions: our Garmin sent us nearly to Tarbes and then over narrow mountain roads and this with a motorhome and trailer! Site recommended if you want an out-of-season restful place to stay.
Only two toilets and one shower open big pitches friendly owner a bit remote ok for one night. Only Dutch campers here, very quiet.
Site on river island near small village. Good size pitches arranged in small groups. Quiet when we were there because out of season. Access is via bridge which has a solid metal gate across when closed. You need to call the number on the notice board to request access. Good free Wifi. Good campervan service point.
Visited early September. Very quiet and peacefull. The swimming pool was still open. Good size pitches. Toilets/showers werevery clean. We would stay here again.
This site is out in the country, so it is very quiet apart from some occasional noise from some type of machinery on the nearby river.
Pitches are arranged in circular areas with water, waste water disposal and rubbish bins in the centre. Chemical toilet emptying is only beside the reception, where there is also a motorhome service area.
Some local shops within a few kilometers, but otherwise a fair drive to a supermarket.
Some statics. In late October we were the only touring van on the site.
