My wife and I stayed for two nights here. While we thought the site and facilities were ok we found the owners most objectionable with the attitude shown towards us.They told us on arrival not to use certain pitches as a party of 47 persons were booked in.These turned out to be a party of 47 teenagers nearly all males for a party on the campsite on the first(Saturday )night. The resulting noise which went on until around 2 am was deafening with screaming, shouting and singing We were fobbed off because we complained the next morning when approaching the owners. This noise could be heard everywhere on this site. How they get away with it we don\'t know.Perhaps the inspector should be there when this goes on.I wonder what his report would say then.Bob Stapleton(Devon)

This site is all right if you do not mind an urban location. We had great difficulty in actually finding it and once there we were very disappointed by the location. I guess that was our fault as we did not check out the details adequately beforehand. We would never choose and urban location next door to a sports ground. However, the site was spotlessly clean and tidy, the facilities were well cared for and the staff delightful and patient with my French.

This is a beautifully maintained and spotlessly clean site in a rather disappointing position adjacent to the town sports facilities. During the day time there was considerable noise from such things as grass cutting next door. That need not be a problem if you are out and about in the day time. The sanitary facilities are very well cared for and very clean. They are divided for men and women but absolutely no one took any notice of the separation so they might just as well have been marked as unisex. In fact the laundry washing sinks, washing machine and dryer are all situated in the ladies sanitaire and many men were going in to see to their laundry. Likewise the vidoir chimique is in the mens toilets so if a woman wants to avail herself of it then she has to brave the mens sanitaire. For our taste the site is too urban but we prefer deep countryside. However it is an excellent stopover.

Travelling party: Seniors

There is nothing wrong with this campsite at all except it is not in the most panoramic of locations. Not unusual for sites like this because it shares it's location with the local sports facilities. Everything else was first class and for an overnight stop perfect. The town is a bit of a walk away and time prevented us from having a look round, but looks well worth a visit so may well come back.

This is a very clean and relaxing site. Bruno and his wife are very helpful and friendly and keep the areas very tidy. Having a water tap next to each plot is a great idea. It is within walking distance along the riverbank into the main town. The town is worth a visit as the character of the place is unique. This site is one we would go back to.

A really well-appointed site with large hedged emplacements and a mixture of shaded areas set in the middle of an apparently well-used and beautifully tended Sporting Complex.  Sanitary block is superbly maintained and has good facilities. Free Wi-fi point is near gate at Bar Area and available at fixed times during the day.
The walk to town (out of the gate and then cut through the playing fields to the river) is about 20 minutes gentle amble. Try to be there on Thursday for the market which is really comprehensive with glorious local food.
Reception was efficient and business-like throughout to foreigners...
Extremely good value site.

Travelling party: Couple

Unimpressive approach past local sports stadium but site itself is a real gem and one that we will return to again and again. Most pitches are spacious and all have some shade. Ours was huge! There is a water tap and EHU by each pitch. Sanitary blocks had ample showers, wash basins and toilets and were always clean, always plenty of hot water. Small shop in reception for basics. The Monday soiree (high season only) is an evening not to be missed with superb food and unforgettable entertainment by Bruno and co. Villefranche is a delightful medieval town a 10 min walk from the site along the river. Visiting the Thursday market in the centre of town is a must. Le Petit Train calls at the site every market day for a novel way into town. Lots to see and do in area. Chartreuse St Sauveur, Belcastel, Grotte de Pech Merles, Najac and Cord de Ciel to name a few places.
