What a lovely place to have a campsite. It was a horrible, rainy day when we arrived and foggy the next morning - bah! Large pitches, hard surface, water and electricity on pitch, magnificent views over valleys. The owners and staff really nice, friendly and helpful. A great restaurant which, unusually for so many sites, open all day for drinks, lunch and evening meals served. We had the set evening meal, delicious, and only 19 euro! Good facilities with paper, hand dries and (so welcome) hand soap. Excellent looking play area and pool.
In a conservation area with lots of walks unfortunately for us too hilly.
Only small niggle was with the access road: 1/4 mile of narrow, steep road; heaven help us (in an 8m motorhome) if someone was coming the other way.
Will certainly return.
The views from this very busy site are fabulous. Everything was first class and the pitches are huge. Pool looked fine, but weather too cold to use. Very much a chill out site especially if you enjoy walking. Will certainly return if this way.
A beautiful rustic site mostly set in gorgeous trees with views to die for. The friendliest owners and staff you will find anywhere who are anxious to ensure that you enjoy your visit. Ideally placed for visiting the attractions of the Lot and Dordogne or for just lying around and enjoying the superb views from the excellent swimming pool or restaurant. The food served in the restaurant is first class and reasonably priced and the sanitary facilities are the cleanest that we have found anywhere in Europe.
Lovely, well maintained and peaceful campsite. Gently terraced with good sized open or shaded pitches, separated by shrubs and trees. Situated between the Lot and Dordogne rivers so good base for touring both regions. Friendly, English speaking owners and staff. Nice, reasonably priced restaurant with regional cuisine available. Good views from the restaurant and pool areas. Maps available for local waymarked walks.
This is a beatiful campsite. We stayed here with our 3 children during May half term and hired one of their mobile homes. The pool was great, heated to 27 degrees and most of the time we had it to ourselves. There is a wonderful terrace for the bar/restaurant with fabulously comfy sofas and the most incredible views. We didn't eat in the restaurant but ordered take away pizza and frites which was very nice. No shop but you could order bread and croissants the evening before. Nearest supermarket is a 20 minute drive away.
The people in the reception are very helpful and friendly and spoke good English. There is a small play area for children aged 7 to 12 and a small pool for little ones but not heated. An ideal campsite for a peaceful and relaxing holiday. My 3 girls were the only children on site!
We stayed at the campsite in Aug’07 for 11 days in a tent. It had 3stars then, now it's 4. The campsite is relatively small, with a mixture of static’s, pre-erected tents and touring pitches. The site has an open area and a tree covered area where we stayed. Rock pegs for the ground would have been useful. Electric supply came from a central points and meant cables often they stretched over roadways; inevitably cars would drive over them. The site had a really family feel. The restaurant, which had a magnificent panoramic view of the Dordogne, appeared to serve nice food. The swimming pool was very clean and was a good size. Reception had info on 4 walks in the area. I attended a walk lead by the manager free of charge and about 20 others, commentary in French. Some French would have been of benefit, as little anglais spoken.HighlyRecommend
