Camping Toulouse Le Rupé is an urban campsite on the outskirts of Toulouse in the Midi-Pyrenees. From the campsite you can cycle to the centre of this historic city, where you can visit such sights as the cathedral, the pilgrims' church and the capitol. You will camp on demarcated camping pitches in a secure area, which also offers accommodation in various mobile homes or hikers' huts. The campsite, which is mainly used as a base for visiting cities and as a transit campsite, has very modern and clean sanitary facilities.

Behind the gate

Behind the campsite gate there are more than 80 touring pitches on demarcated grassy areas. Most of these pitches are spacious, and there are also separate fields for campers arriving by bike with tents. You can also choose from about fifty rental accommodations such as comfortable hikers' cabins and fully equipped mobile homes.

Transit and urban campsite

Many of the campers do not stay longer than a few days at the campsite. So Le Rupé is a transit campsite as well as an urban campsite. In the well-kept toilet block you can use spotlessly clean and modern sanitary facilities.

Toulouse

Toulouse, with its 450,000 inhabitants, is the fourth largest city in France. From the campsite you can cycle to the centre of this university town within half an hour. The hip bars and friendly pavement cafes show that this is a true student city. The 13th century university is the oldest in France second only to that of Paris. There are many beautiful buildings to see in the historic town centre. For example, take a look at the 13th century cathedral or the Basilique Saint-Sernin de Toulouse, a pilgrims' church and stopover on the journey to Santiago de Compostela. Also beautiful is the Capitol on the Place du Capitole, in the heart of Toulouse.

Travelling party: Family with children, 4 – 12 years

Liked - Reception staff were nice and helpful. Good to have a picnic bench and bbq near our pitch to cook with.
Disliked - Play facilities worn and torn and no other parents supervising some very poorly behaved children. Also did not like the men drinking on the bench outside reception from as early as 9.30am - the reception served them alcohol and encouraged this. Not a very family friendly environment.

Travelling party: Young couple

Liked - The fact i could get a bolt taxi which you have to dowload, much cheaper than normal taxi
Disliked - 1st is unisex toilets and showers
2nd there was a rave near by which kept us up until 3 in the morning
3rd i asked the reception if the wifi cards worked across france and told yes so we bought some to find out they don't. Seems to be for that site or area only.
4th location not grate for transport to Toulouse so we had to download Bolt app.
