A good quality campsite away from Calais with an Excellent restaurant serving top quality food, simple menu but excellently prepared. Cooked to order.
A nice site close to Calais. There are several permanent mobile homes on this site and the pitches are dotted around these. Its a nice small site with an overflow field, which has nice level pitches all the way around in all with electric and we were happy to be on here. The toilet facilities etc. are adequate - no loo roll and only 3 showers in the ladies. Small swimming pool very nice. Wouldn't stay here for a holiday but for 1 or 2 nights at the end of your trip before catching the train or ferry its a good site and reasonable price.
We have stayed in June and September on the way to and from Calais Ferry with our caravan. Pitches are spacious with water adjacent, and toilet/shower facilities are clean etc. M le directeur and his staff are kind and friendly people, always happy to help.
This campsite is worth staying at for a few days-visit places like St Omer, Boulogne, Montreuil and Le Touquet. All worth a visit!
Very good clean campsite. Large pitches with good water supply. Bistro on site is excellent. Owners are nice and friendly.
Lovely peaceful campsite, we choose to stay here when we have long weekends in France between our main holiday when we go further south as it is convenient to the port yet gives us the feeling that we are miles away.
Owners are very friendly and we know we are certain to get a good meal in the brasserie. There are plenty of happy children playing on the campsite but it is very quiet at night and early morning. Licques is a nice little town and Boulogne is a short car journey away.
We have used this site for the last four years and have always found it excellent, the family are so friendly and helpful, the facilities are first class as is the restaurant, we will be back next July."
we have used this site for a good number of years, mainly for a couple of days. This year we stayed for five days to look around the area and we were quite surprised by what there is to see from ww11 sites to beaches. what more can be said about our favourite site in all Europe. Derek never let's the sites standard s slip, and something is always added to improve the site every year. try to book are get there early, as the Site Full signs are put up most days
Improvements have been made each year, the swimming pool is excellent now, water connections have been added on other pitches, they are always looking forward to improve the site. The small restaurant/bar is welcoming and good value. Wi fi available throughout the site. Extra showers may be the next step, although we had no problem. For a truly run family site this is a model many other sites should look at.
We have now visited the campsite twice, it's our way of getting into the holiday mode, or wind down at the end of our hols, the owners and staff are extremely helpful. The first time we visited we were proper weary travellers and to find that they were full led to some serious begging! They managed to find us a spot outside a static van that wasn't being used that weekend, and was actually a better pitch than we had at some other campsites! .. The facilities are always clean and tidy, and the grass is always neat .. Pitches are a good size. The local village is a short walk and boasts a lovely butchers and bakers, and a well stocked small supermarket and a couple of cafes ... Ideal location for a break on the outward and homeward journeys worth an extended stay!
We found the welcome here pleasant and helpful and the pitch we picked was a good size and no long lead for electrics. Access was easy enough too. The facilities were fine and clean. The town of Liques is not somewhere to get excited about however - a couple of very basic cafes and a small supermarket (though with reasonably priced fuel) on the outskirts. The big plus here is the time to get to Calais and in our case the tunnel. We would certainly use the site again though I doubt we would extend our stay.
