Celine and Laura very helpful and speak good English. Large hedged pitches. Plenty of sh/wc and hot water. Good off-lead dog walking as site is a working farm/vineyard and there is a footpath to the village (20 min) where you can visit the Chateau. Good on site restaurant
Friendly helpful staff. excellent, flat, large, easy access sites for large motorhomes. Great facilities. Short walk into town for lovely Thursday market. We strongly recommend this site.
A lovely site with friendly staff. Great walks around, including to Brissac-Quince alongside a stream ( excellent market on Thursdays and a captivating cafe/wine shop run by the owner (Lucille)\'s husband.
Travelled with a Rally. An excellent site with large grassy pitches. Toilets and showers kept very clean with ample hot water. English speaking very helpful team who met our needs on every occasion. Would recommend to all.
An excellent site with an English speaking helpful Team. Large grassy plots with ample space. Two very nice pools.
Flat and level pitches, some shading. A young and friendly staff. 3 pools, bar. Only 2 toilet blocks open during our stay. Poor security, our tent and two others got slashed 5/7/11 there are 3 unsecured entrances. Kids club mostly aimed at smaller kids, if yours are under 8 then fine, I would absolutely not recommend this site for tents, but it's OK for caravans. Very pretty and well maintained but this is pointless when security is non-existant and your daughter is asking what happens if the robbers come back. The gendarmes are very helpful.
A very good site with very frendly staff and large pitches. Nice location, local market is very good. We will return.
Superb site maintained to the highest standard by attentive staff. The old vineyard owners house, which is used as the office, shop etc. gives the place some stature. The pitches are grassy and in sun or shade. The etang is a great place for kids with lots to occupy them for hours. The ville of Brissac Quince is within easy walking distance where you can take in the highest chateau in France. We will definitely be going back!
Just back from 2nd visit (also in 2008). We really used to like it. However, 6 tents slashed in night. 5 British, 1 Dutch. All own tents, not fixed pitch. Thieves put towels on campground lights, cut into tents where valuables likely to be (shadows?). Even came into our tent! Took clothes looking for wallets and so on. We “only” lost mobile and childs trainers! Damage to tent significant cost. Cutting into tents inches from sleeping children particularly worrying. No French attacked. Attitude of manageress was complete lack of interest. Didn’t even ask if anything she could do to help, apart from where Gendarmerie was. No empathy at all. Apparently a “rare” event however site was targeted 2x last year in late August three times within one year is not rare! She said site too big for security, but suggested might improve entry / exit next year – are three points of entry plus main entrance. Gendarmes took it seriously, patrolled site at least twice afterwards. Sadly due to manager attitude we will not return.
Lovely campsite - it was really quiet in the evenings and at night. The pools are very good and the location by a fishing lake is super. The only thing that we found a bit disappointing was the campsite restaurant. The food came at different times so we didn't really eat together and some of the dishes were not piping hot - Ok if you just want a portion of chips but wouldn't use it again. Staff are friendly and everything is very clean. Yes, we'd like to go again.
