Beautiful campsite our second visit here. Staff are so helpful, lovely area not far from a little supermarket only moan no bar to get a coffee or cold beer from and the one bar on the lakeside not always open. Will definitely visit again
Brilliant site and very warm welcome from the staff. Everything superb except possibly mixed toilets and showers which wasn't really a problem for us.
We were fortunate to bump into Gareth and Amanda, previous scribes, at Ste Foy La Grande and they strongly recommended this site. Boy were they right!! Big pitches. Ours was by the lac. Excellent facilities and spell bounding views. The chap on reception could not have been more helpful. We are walkers and enjoyed several walks around the lac, town and the surrounding countryside. Thanks again to Amanda and Gareth for sharing this gem with us.
Amazing pitches which are spacious and grassy, looking out onto the lake. The reception staff were so friendly and helpful. The toilet facilities are very clean and modern. The pool was quite small and crowded with children so we did not go in. Excellent value for money. There is very little in the town of tuffe but there is a train that takes you into le mans.
Wow! Hidden gem. Only stayed for one night, wish I'd listen to the wife now. The site was brilliant from arrival to departure. The owner could not do enough for us, the pitch was perfect (we have a 34ft RV). The shower facilities are the best I've seen ever, huge shower, huge disabled shower too. Village 5 mins walk, restaurant 2 mins walk. The site is peaceful and situated on lake. Can not praise this site enough, just stay there and you'll love it as much as we did. Perfect.
What a gem of camp site this is. The guy in reception was friendly with a great sense of humour. Put us on an excellent pitch overlooking the lake which you could walk round. Spotlessly clean facilities with lovely hot water for both showers and washing up. Even had toilet paper and all for a small price. Did not use the pool, but it looked pristine. Were only there one day, but most certainly will return.
We had stayed at camping du lac previously and had a great time, the campsite is one of the best in France, pitches huge, location beautiful, the owners were just the best, helpful, spoke excellent English and worked so hard keeping the site clean and tidy, great value for money and one we will stay at on every visit going south.
Stayed for one night in May. The chap on reception was extremely helpful (spoke English). He showed us a selection of pitches and we chose one overlooking the lake in the next field. The site was very quiet, had reasonable (shared) facilities and we would have gladly stayed another night if we had time. Not a great deal to do in the area though. A bargain through ACSI.
I think we were on site with Alan immediately below. I can only add to what he has said by saying this was one of very few to acknowledge our reservation. The young couple who run this could not have been more helpful warm and friendly in their greeting on reception and in all contact(english spoken). A gem of a site and I am sure we will be back. I imagine it will be busy high season.
What a great site, we visited in September when there were only 10 units on site and it was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. Beautiful views of the lake and fantastic walks from the site, plus the very pretty village of Ruffe within a 10 minute stroll along the banks of the lake. Site staff were very helpful and eager to please. Would we go back ? Certainly !!
