In the countryside of the Vendée, three quarters of an hour below Nantes, is the Domaine de L'Oiselière campsite. This eco campsite around a renovated farmhouse is a small, lovely family campsite with spacious pitches and a heated outdoor swimming pool. The modern facilities are fresh and tastefully decorated, as are the beautiful lodge tents and atmospheric cottages. In the campsite restaurant they cook with organic local products, also for sale in the shop.

Whistling birds

Domaine de l'Oiselière is a small but spacious campsite. Scattered on the large campsite are thirty very spacious touring pitches delimited on grass fields. Here and there are tall, old trees. You can see from the young planting that this is a new campsite. The campsite is largely car-free. The pitches are laid out with respect for the natural environment, where peace and quiet reign supreme.

Atmospheric swimming pool

There is a heated outdoor swimming pool in the centre of the campsite. There is also a paddling pool and a sun terrace with sun loungers. The whole area is fenced, so that small children cannot just walk to the water.

Free bicycles

On the vast terrain you will find all kinds of fun playing opportunities. The natural hills have been cleverly used in the construction of slides and tunnels. There is a nice play forest with cable car and climbing net. The animal pasture on the campsite is fun for everyone: camping guests can pick up the fresh eggs in the morning. In the vegetable garden you can help gardening, pick herbs or harvest fruit and vegetables. In high season there is a varied entertainment programme and children can look after ponies and learn to ride them. The campsite also has excellent bicycles, which you can use free of charge.

Liked - Mooie ruime plaatsen, veel accommodatie voor kleine kinderen die de bibliotheek, het zwembad en de mat met duplo erg apprecieerden.
Disliked - Sanitair kan een upgrade gebruiken. De wasmachine is een hele dag door hoorbaar en zou beter in een afgesloten ruimte staan.

Eigenlijk toevallig kwamen we in 2019 hier terecht en het beviel zo goed dat we in 2020 en 2021 als vanzelf weer terug zijn gegaan.
Perfecte plek (wij zaten in een huisje) met enorm gastvrije en vriendelijke eigenaren. De camping is wat afgelegen, je loopt niet even ergens heen voor vertier, maar daardoor is het ook heel erg rustig.
Er is duidelijk goed nagedacht over het concept van een kleinschalige camping, waardoor het allemaal ook zeer ruimtelijk aanvoelt.
Verwacht hier geen zwemparadijs of grootschalige entertainment.
Het zijn juist de basisdingen zoals een zwembad, een kabelbaan voor kinderen in een bosachtig stukje van de camping waar je ook een hut kunt bouwen, de overdekte hal (ook handig als het regent) met tafeltennis en andere spelletjes en het aanbod van een kidsclub maken dat dit gewoon een hele prettige plek is om te verblijven, vooral met kinderen.
En niet onvermeld mag het restaurant blijven: een beperkte kaart maar de eigenaar kookt voortreffelijk!

Liked - De rust en ruimte op de camping was erg fijn. Voor kleine kinderen was het ideaal, van alles wat. En de ligging van de mobile homes was geweldig.
Disliked - Voor de kinder activiteiten zou het fijn zijn als er wat andere talen gesproken worden.

Liked - Een hele fijne en rustige camping met ruimte! De staanplaatsen zijn ruim, maar ook de gehele opzet van de camping is ruim en ontzettend groen. Er is nagedacht over de beplanting, alles is met zorg aangelegd. Mooie bloemen en planten. Kinderen kunnen er lekker zelf op uit. Verder is het personeel/de eigenaren heel vriendelijk en persoonlijk.
Disliked - In de avond was de camping wel heel donker. Hier- en daar een lampje zou fijn en mooi zijn naar ons idee.

Liked - De plaatsen hadden veel ruimte, de eigenaren erg vriendelijk en het was erg schoon. We hebben genoten van zwembad en tuin. Iedere avond staat er een menu op
de kaart dat zeer smaakvol bereid is.
Disliked - Te weinig kook of grill faciliteiten in de Coco lodge. Met 1 electrisch
pitje konden we niet zoveel.

Liked - Zeer mooie camping met oog voor natuur en omgeving. Speelmogelijkheden voor kinderen, voor alle weersomstandigheden.
Disliked - Misschien een tip om een iets uitgebreidere kaart voor diner te voorzien, nu vrij beperkt.
