Camping Le Bois Verdon is located in the well-known West French seaside resort of Saint-Jean-de-Monts. You are camping here in the Vendée, close to the Atlantic coast. Typical of Saint-Jean-de-Monts are the extensive forests. The campsite is situated on the edge of these. In less than ten minutes you can cycle to the city centre or to the long sandy beach. A day at the seaside is definitely on your programme!

A peaceful campsite

With less than forty tourist pitches and just over twenty rental accommodations (for 2-6 persons), this is not a large campsite. That is why you can enjoy peace and quiet. Yet you don't have to compromise on conviviality during a holiday at Le Bois Verdon. You can take a dip in the heated swimming pool (with sliding roof). Next to it is a toddlers' pool, also heated. Here the youngest campers can play with some colourful playground equipment. There is also enough space to read a book on a lounger by the water.

Entertainment on land

Two of the most popular campsite sports are table tennis and boules. Lucky you! At campsite Le Bois Verdon you have two table tennis tables and two jeu de boules lanes at your disposal. The younger campers can play in the playground, complete with slide and trampoline.

Snack and drink

In July and August you can get fresh bread at the campsite. The pizzeria and bar are also open during this period. You can do some shopping at the campsite shop, but for the rest you have to go to Saint-Jean-de-Monts. Leave the car or motor home and go by bike. You can hire one at the campsite.

Liked - we had a lovely stay, the pitch was a great size and the pool and park were perfect for the children. our only disappointment was with the shower and the fact you count control the temperature it would run boiling hot and freezing cold, not great for the children to was under!

Liked - Great site with very clean sanitary facilities . East cycle into St Jean de Monts which is a bit less impressive if you are looking for something quiet and traditional it is more a Blackpool type vibe.
Disliked - Extra charge for wifi . Should be included in base price in my opinion.

Liked - We got a very friendly welcome from the staff. As we were off-peak we got a choice of pitches. The shower/washing block was always very clean and had great facilities. The pool and bar area was also very clean and easily accessible. Around the site there are also some games areas and a small children's playground. Overall we would come back.

Liked - Pool was good apart from boy being told off for shorts when men had them on, felt like it was aimed at the English? Our girl was very very poorly and had to have a trip to a French hospital the reception staff were not much help in trying to arrange a Dr. Gave us a book with the numbers in to ring I felt like a little help with translation would have helped and avoided the hospital visit.
Disliked - The neighbouring site was extremely noisy and kept us up on numerous nights, maybe a word with the owners next door as 1-2am is not really acceptable on a family site. The showers went cold at random times through the day and the lights going off at 11 wasn't great.

Liked - A really bright, clean and well presented campsite. Reception helpful and nice bar area for an ice-cream or cold beer/cocktail. Walking distance to the main promenade and the town.
