Located in a clearing in the woods and has its own charm but as other reviews have said it can be rather overgrown and most of the pitches need levelling ramps. Nice welcome in English, choose your own pitch, local wine sold in reception met with our sons\' approval - and he\'s fussy. Order and pay for bread at reception but on our one night stay the van didn\'t arrive at 9am as promised, refunded without issue. Facilities block is adequate but cold. Make sure you read the directions to find the site, you do leave the main road and head down the country lane for about a mile or so and the approach to the site is up a short steep hill.
In general, this is a good campsite in HIGH season and we have used it as a last night stop for several years. However, last year, we used it in late May and September. We also used it this year at the end of June, all 3 stays being in low season. The site was unkempt and the toilet facilities were seriously limited. In addition, only one toilet block was open providing very little hot water. For our last 3 stays we have used our own caravan facilities. Disappointing.
The swimming pool is down a steep track, through a farmyard and across a road to a campsite nearby, not adjacent. Geographically in another village. Realistically you\'d need to use the car especially with children. Pitches were large. Very steep and rough surface access from road. Ok for overnight stop.
This is a quiet campsite with very large pitches, some sloping. The owner is extremely helpful and the office well stocked with information about the area. We hope to return in the future.
Lovely site, very friendly staff, and we met some very nice like minded people, that is why we are going back in September.
been twice this year 2011 going back august 2011 2/3 months good hosts very friendly washing facalitys very clean, very peacefull
Up quite a steep hill you will find huge pitches, some with lots of shade others in full sun, not very level but don't let that put you off as this is one of the best sites we have been to. Very friendly and helpful staff who speak quite good English if you are struggling with your French. Quiet surroundings with a basically stocked shop. Swimming pool, snack bar and fully stocked shop are all available across a small country road on the sister site Le Val de Trie.
We visited this site on 12th June and eventually found it (poorly signed) after some difficulty,it was completly deserted and overgrown and not a single person in sight. Unable to stay so departed to another ACSI sight.
