Enjoy the freedom involved in camping on an island during your stay at the Campsite Les Gros Joncs. From the campsite, you can quickly reach the beach, but other neighbouring islands are also easy to get to. Enjoy a tasty bite inside the campsite restaurant, join the children’s entertainment, or spoil yourself with a spa treatment. Plenty to do!
The campsite is located between the dunes and the forest. Green deciduous trees, hedges and bushes create a natural atmosphere on the campsite and make sure there is always sufficient shadow on the camping pitches. If you prefer the ease and comfort of home on a campsite as well you can rent one of the mobile homes or chalets. They can house a maximum of six people.
A cool swim
If you like to cool off a little on a warm summer day you don’t need to look too far to find a place to swim. Will you choose the heated outside pool with deckchairs and water slides? Or do you prefer walking through the dunes to reach the large sand beach, where you can enjoy the surf, the fine sand between your toes, and the salty sea air? Advantage: there is a beach guard on the beach during high season! If the weather is not so good, there is always a plan B: the covered pool. There’s plenty of fun to be had here too, thanks to the high currents and the water cannon.

Liked - The pool and bike hire were amazing, especially Kevin.
Disliked - The showers and toilets weren’t cleaned regularly and there weren’t the mops to clean after yourself that other campsites provide.
Liked - Pretty tranquil site so near t beach
Liked - Pool and spa were fabulous, showers and bathing facilities clean and well maintained
Liked - Really convenient to be able to stroll to the beach. Quiet and shaded setting with lots of trees. Easy to get around. The area is really bike friendly so we were able to ride into the nearest town easily. Great seafood everywhere - we ate at restaurants and also bought lots to eat at the mobile home. The pool is very nice although just one slide to keep the kids happy, but it was never really crowded (late August). Well stocked and friendly local shop (even though the exchange rate hurts!). Fantastic beaches all around - we tried several and they are all super safe and lovely to swim at.
Disliked - Being able to ride to the local town to eat and shop is great but the last km is on the road which was a bit scary for the kids. Otherwise the cycle paths are fantastic.
Liked - Good
Liked - Location
Disliked - Great that the campsite is open throughout the year, however I thought the restaurant / bar may have opened at the week-end. Same with the supermarket.
Liked - the pool was great and site great for kids to cycle around or visit the beach
Disliked - Some of the showers were broken
We visited in the middle of February 2015. It was very cold and hence nearly all of the facilities were closed. We could use the Spa during opening hours (no real problem as we were in the camper) for shower and toilets and the inside pool looked great. Staff very helpful. We will go back for another visit in the spring. Very good location for the beach.
