La Roche-Posay Vacances is a 4 star family-run campsite in La Roche-Posay, in the Poitou-Charentes region and a stone’s throw from the Loire Valley, on the banks of the river Creuse. Bustling tourist town and renowned thermal spa town, La Roche-Posay offers lots of services: a bakery, a butchers, a race course, a newsagents, a pharmacy, a golf course, a casino, a supermarket, a spa and bars and restaurants.

The campsite offers spacious camping pitches, in the sun or the shade, as well as 2 or 3 bedroom cottage holiday rentals.

On-site, discover a waterpark comprised of a covered and heated pool, an outside pool with water slide and bubble baths, and a fun paddling pool for the kids. For sporty holidaymakers, the campsite offers many trails to discover on foot or by bike, as well as canoe trips on the river. Sporty activities are organized for all ages and the whole family is invited to join in with the evening entertainment. Concerts, themed evenings, shows, and much more!

The campsite offers a snack bar and a small restaurant. In the morning, you can purchase fresh bread. You can also use the internet, as the campsite offers WiFi access on the bar terrace. Other on-site services include a brand new fitness room, a launderette, a new playground area for kids and bike rental.

Between the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region and the Loire Valley, the campsite is located in a region full of things to do. The campsite is close to Futuroscope theme Park and Beauval Zoo. For history lovers, the campsite is near to many of the impressive Loire valley castles. And for a breath of nature, La Brenne Nature Parc is only a stone’s throw away.

Liked - Beautifully kept campsite. Amazing swimming pools and play areas. Fantastic cottage. Friendly staff.
Disliked - Food in the bar wasn’t great. Wood on balcony gave splinters. But honestly it was an amazing holiday. Just little things.

Liked - The campsite is a family run, very family orientated place. Lovely and clean and friendly staff to help you out. A small site which was perfect for our first visit. Walking distance from La Roche Posay town (20 minutes or less)
Disliked - Evening entertainment was lacking and majority in French- yes I hear you all thinking well it was France- however difficult to follow and not always attempts for translation- we have already booked French lessons

Liked - Loved the campsite, the pool was beautiful. Super U was very close by. Activities for Children are timetables. The restaurant was lovely and not too expensive. The owners and staff were all very friendly and couldn't do enough to help. We all had a fantastic holiday!

Liked - The staff were lovely, the water park was a real hit with the kids, generally everything was in very nice shape.
Disliked - However, as we were only staying for one night or had we been staying for 2, the 10am checkout time was annoying and difficult with 2 small kids. All the best sites we’ve stayed at have 12noon checkout which works much better for everyone.

Liked - Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Our pitch was in very good condition.
The bathrooms were kept very clean at all times.
Disliked - This site is better for families with young children.
The pools were very cold.

Liked - Everything was perfect. Staff were friendly and helpful. The site was beautiful and the facilities were were excellent especially the pool.
Disliked - Drinks were expensive and quite a long walk to get one. Drinks machine at mid point would be great.
