Camping Le Petit Trianon de Saint Ustre is a castle camping site in Poitou. In this region you can enjoy the Roman art of the centuries old churches and the avant-garde techniques in Futuroscope. Castles and country houses are in abundance and one of them is Le Petit Trianon. At the foot of the castle towers you'll experience a holiday characterized by comfort, peace and space.
Once you arrive on the camping site and behind the entrance, you'll see a well maintained property with high trees and an open field in front of the seventeenth century castle. In the reception, housed in the castle, you'll receive a princely welcome from the owners. Their camping site is very spacious and makes a quiet and peaceful impression. The pitches are relatively large, so you have enough space for all of your gear.
Camping in the trees
Except for the usual mobile homes and a number of cottages, you can hire a unique tree house (for two people) on the camping site Le Petit Trianon de Saint Ustre. You climb up some stairs to an attractive wooden hut. A real "nest under the stars". You hire the hut with hotel service: bed service and breakfast!
For the little ones
There is a lovely swimming pool (with small slide) on the camping site. Children can play in the playground, jump in the bouncy castle or play on the mini golf course. In the high season there is an entertainment team for the little campers.
The camping site does not have a restaurant, but for lunch or dinner you can go next door to the Auberge de la Ferme. They serve lovely local dishes.

Nice site in the grounds of the chateau. Restaurant located just outside the side but had to book by 5pm to eat there, limited menu but food was good - English owner of restaurant was very helpful. Only stayed one night as transit stop. Limited food available at reception.
Pool was very nice. Very quiet peaceful site in early June.
Beautiful Chateaux with lovely surroundings, very spacious pitches, can't wait to go back, hosts are very friendly and helpful.
Site in grounds of a small chateau. Informal and un regimented. Facilities old but serviceable and clean, plenty of hot water and toilet paper. Very calm relaxed feel, bit tired round the edges, paint peeling, weeds on drive but charming despite this and would not put us off returning. Pool was amazing, clean, comfortable sun beds and quiet. Fab in 35 degree heat!
Lovely setting and friendly owners. Weather was atrocious so a local shop would have been handy as campsite had bread and wine but not much more. Supermarket in Ingrandes about 30 mins walk away but not reliable hours. Nice restaurant next to campsite does good, affordable menu du jour at lunchtime. Grass pitches so many vans had to be towed out as so muddy.
