Reviews said the staff either loved you as you were a frequent visitor, or were rude because you were a stranger. Our experience was that they weren’t wildly friendly but were very polite and efficient and we paid the correct ACSI price. Pitches a bit small, lovely pool, not very nice urban area.
We tried to stay here on 24/9. The owners were very rude to us. They would not give us a reduction for the acsi card. They told us how much and when we said we had the card it was the same price. We queried and they said go away then you can’t stay without a reservation. Wouldn’t move the barrier to let us turn round our motorhome
badly signposted with no name of campsite on 2 postings
described as 1200 metres from beach - only as the crow flies not by road at least 2 or 3 kilometres
described as close to Antibes - you required 2 buses to get beach at Antibes Juan le pin
Wonderful campsite, love it and the family owners so much that this was our tenth visit. We stayed from beginning of June to middle of August as usual. We were joined by our eight year old great grandson for the last three weeks and he loves it as much as we do. Long may we be able to keep going !
We have just returned from our annual trip to Le Rossignol - staying for two and a half months. Once again we were welcomed like old friends and again met up with several people who, like ourselves, return year after year to this lovely place. 'Our' pitch was ready when we arrived and in no time we were happily settled in. We renewed our bus passes in town (admiring the new Pole d'Echange) and began once again to explore the surrounding area. There is always something we seem to have missed on previous visits and this year was no exception. We also bought a ZOU card from the railway station and this entitled us to half price train travel - a huge saving, allowing us to go even further afield. The whole experience is always a pleasure and it is a delight to come back every year to this friendly, welcoming campsite with the lovely family owners. Thank you - à l'annee prochaine.
Unfriendly, rude staff. No information about campsite facilities provided. Despite speaking good French, we were literally grunted at.
We once again stayed on this site from start of June to end of July - our 7th year and can't wait to return next year. I have read some of the unfavourable reviews, French and English and am very sad that some people are not more understanding. The family running this site are absolutely lovely people - the site has been going in excess of 40 yrs with the same family so they must be doing something right ! We have never had a problem with any aspect of our stay. The proprietor, his wife, sons and sister are always very welcoming and happy to accommodate any request with a smile and a joke. Roll on 2015, when we hope to extend our stay to three months !
On arrival we received no greeting from the reception, a man walked through twice from the back without acknowledging our presence . The elderly woman behind the desk I asked (in french) if they had an emplacement just muttered to me, which I took to be an affirmative as she started to fill in a form. She pointed to a notice which said they did not open until 9 am in the morning for payment when we left. She then got in a golf buggy indicated to follow her and took us to a pitch....end of story. No information of facilities or anything else. Quite the most rude and ignorant bunch of people we have yet to meet running a campsite.
This is our sixth visit to this site and we shall keep returning! We spent six weeks in June and July and were very sad to leave. This is a family run camp and we have come to know the family very well. They have always been extremely pleasant and I think the negative comments from other reviewers are probably due to a lack of communication skills - the family only speak French and if the visitors have not made any effort to learn French then the fault is as much theirs ! Every year we meet up with others who are returning for the umpteenth time - twenty five years, even forty years in one case ! There can't be much wrong with either the camp or the family ! We will keep coming back and hopefully extend our stay even longer.
This is a very tight site for larger outfits, we had difficulty getting put off the site because of this. There's very little room at the entrance and if the site is full there is no room to turn round. We witnessed several groups having to unhitch the caravan to turn it round to leave after being told the site was full! The owners could have been friendlier, we didn't get one smile from them during our weeks stay.
