You will find the family campsite Campsite Le Marius on the Côte d’Azur, close to Marseille. Here, you can opt for ‘basic’ camping or choose a luxury pitch. Or rent a mobile home or furnished tent. You can swim in the clear blue sea that is only 200 metres from the campsite. From the campsite, there are options for both young and old to discover the area by foot, bike or canoe. The camping pitches are demarcated by planting, which provides plenty of privacy. The pitches are available in different grades of luxury: with or without electricity and even with a barbecue, picnic table and fridge. You can also rent a mobile home, chalet or tent here. Campsite Le Marius is a real family campsite and your neighbours will mainly be families with young children.
Beach between the cliffs
From the campsite, it is only a 200 metre walk to the beach. The campsite has a private road for campsite guests, which makes the beach easy to reach. The beach is situated in a small bay with cliffs, which provides a beautiful panorama when you are lying on the beach enjoying the warm sun.
Discover the area!
To explore the surroundings, Campsite Le Marius offers many possibilities. You can use the bikes and canoes which the campsite provides for free, and they organise hikes with Jacques or diving with Joseph. A good opportunity to get to know the area.

Great for kids( playground included) grandchildren loved this activity when they were not on the beach.
We stayed at this campsite in August 2012 after reading a brief but positive review.
We found the pitch uneven, and covered with a dusting of gravel. There was a tree in the middle of our pitch which proved to be a plus with the heat, but a negative with the large amount of wasps after the sap from the tree. The other sites were not shaded, or partially shaded.
We did find the site noisy, with groups of young children hanging around the toilets, and playing in the toilets often using the few showers & toilets as their play areas. This went on to well after 11.00 pm, but after numerous complaints from others the site management made an effort to stop this problem. The site did suffer from some noisy occupants of the mobile homes until late into the night, but again the site tackled this issue after many complaints had been made. Music could be easily heard from the many other sites very close by, so if a quiet night by the tent is your thing, then this is not the site for you...!
The site its self was small, and seemed to have both a new section and an older section for the campers, and resident caravaners. The electrics are only 6 amps, so don’t think that you can operate anything other than a cool box from it as you can’t.
There is a definite shortage of both toilets & showers, offering only 3 toilets, and 3 showers in both the men’s & ladies sections.
There was a great Bar / Restaurant on site, offering the best croissants in the morning, but get there early as the sell quickly. The bat stays open until around 00.30hrs.
We found the wi-fi helpful, but didn’t like having to sign up to a third party user site with our details. This was available from 08.00 to 21.30 hours.
The beach was accessible from the rear of the site, but had to walk down a steep rock face to get to it, and with all beaches in the summer became very crowded. The best way to the beach was a walk down the main street.
