Time for a delicious pizza in the restaurant!
Accommodation with jacuzzi
The 130 rental accommodation units of the camping site are distributed over the grounds. These vary in format and design. In addition to modest cottages (19 m2), you have a choice of large and luxurious cottages (55 m2) suitable for six persons. These are located in the Premium section. We originally intended going to camping Pecheur (check spelling) but the download of its position took us to the wrong place (worth checking). So we found this site which is large clean and very tidy. It is made up in the main with holiday bungalows but the camping places were large shaded and level. The majority of the people using the site appear to remain there all the time using the heated pool, bar, shop and restaurants to supply all their needs. We however prefer to use sites as a base and the lack of nearby villages to walk to and, from we found, little of interest inland but to fair we only travelled about 20k from the site and we did not visit the nearby coast. As others have said it was strange to have the showers and toilets in different buildings but they were modern and spotless. I would recommend this site but doubt that we would return for the reasons mentioned
Late review: we stayed on this site on the way home from Italy and intended to stay just the night. However we stayed several days and enjoyed it very much. Right outside the campsite is natural, hilly wood and scrubland that extends a long way. We enjoyed long walks we our dogs who could be free without worry. The campsite facilities were a bit unusual as the toilets were not next to the showers, but the facilities were modern and clean. We stayed until they closed in November 2014. Very friendly and helpful. Excellent value with a campingcard. We just received their brochure for 2016 and would certainly return when we go in that direction. Highly recommended.
Reading comments from previous years, this campsite of 1972 must have been completely renovated as everything appears as new and is up to date. Immaculately kept. Heated pool still open. Indeed many new bungalows for hire but no problem for us during autumn school holidays. Fabulous facilities but perhaps insufficient in high season. One minor irritation: toilets are in separate block some 50m from the showers. Dog and cat friendly, immediate walking in extensive woodland off the site. Good size pitches, several a bit muddy so some harder ground would be useful for campingcars and caravans. ACSI should remove reviews from period before renovations which are no longer valid.
Nice site hard to beat. Fairly easy access even for big caravans. Big pitches and well leveled. very clean modern shared toilets and showers. Pool was heated to a very nice 28 degrees. Well laid out. Practically empty when we was there in September.
