The Les Jardins du Maï Taï camping site is located to the north of the French spa town of Saint-Aygulf. Here you will be camping on the Côte d’Azur, just three kilometres from the Mediterranean Sea and its beaches lined with palm trees. This small-scale family camping site boasts high trees and plenty of greenery. There are many attractions and fun coastal towns to visit in the area.
On the camping site, you will have your pick of different mobile homes, but of course, you can always simply show up with your own equipment. You drive across narrow camping roads to reach the accommodation or the pitches. These are surrounded by greenery: trees and flower bushes add a vibrant touch to your camping pitch.
The swimming pool is centrally located on the site. The pool is simple: not many bells and whistles, but great for a cool, refreshing dip. There is a toddler pool right beside it, where your little ones can splash around.
Beaches of palm trees
The beaches of Saint-Aygulf are just three kilometres from the camping site. This location is particularly unique. The beach actually lies between two bodies of water. Of course, the Mediterranean Sea is on one side, while Les Étangs de Villepey is on the other. This lake, which is located in a beautiful nature reserve (also great for a hike), is separated from the beach by the roadway and rows of palm trees. The lively town of Fréjus is just seven kilometres from the camping site.
In addition to the swimming pool, the camping site also hosts a restaurant. This is covered by an enormous pointed roof. The restaurant is simple, but the meals there are excellent. It's not all that bad sitting on the large terrace, either. There is a supermarket right next to the camping site, where you can do your daily shopping.

Camping Les Jardins de Mai Tai, Saint Aygulf France
Small family run friendly site with about 40 touring pitches some 2 miles from the beach.
16A electricity, unheated shower block, no toilet seats or paper, spacious showers push button type but very clean throughout.
Excellent pool and bar area and there is a small supermarket a few minutes walk away.
Moules and Frites evening and a Paella lunch with Salsa dancing.
Decent sized pitches - would definitely visit again
If you walk to the beach via the nature reserve beware of the mozziIes
Very nice campsite BUT mosquitoes are a huge problem in Sept/Oct forcing us to sit in the van in the evenings.
Also the owner's large black dog (and cat) used the pool! The dog swam in it! YUK
Really pleasant site-out of season -BUT mosquitoes terrible problem since very near lakes and owners dog and cat both swam in the pool-yuk!
oh dear such a shame!
I can only describe this sitee as a little gem. It is owned and run by excellent people who cant do enough to help you have a great holiday.perhaps a fewsmall updates required here and there but no big deal. Close to the beaches, very good cycle lane outside of the site. Reluctant to leave even after 47 nights.
Pleasant site in unremarkable surroundings. Fairly good san facilites, friendly & helpful staff. Site surrounded by lakes & mosquitoes were a problem. Signs warn of flooding & markers around the site show water depth of 1m in 2010. Cycling to beach & town is possible, but it's a long way! Pool is good, free wi-fi on terrace.
Just spent 32 nights here and would have enjoyed another 32 if it had been possible, but thats beeing greedy. Natalie, the lady on reception, is brilliant, coudn't do enough for you. The site is in the process of further updating, the young owner Romain has lots of plans for the future. Have already booked for 2014, can't wait.
